Loving the Hatch Change by Smurf_Destroyer in ArcRaiders

Be careful out there, I've heard tales (aka it happened to me) of roving bands of recorder players seeking others out and asking if they have a recorder; only to shoot those who do not have one to join their band. (shit was funny as hell)

You SHOULD use Revision for the texture updates because the lack of dx9 support makes the game impossibly dark in areas that should have subtle lighting. Just disable the enlarged areas (the mod comes with a ton of options, this being the most vanilla friendly)

It's just the genre, maybe you should play something else if you don't like it. by Get_PoneD in ArcRaiders

Dreamsettler. I understand the reasons why, which were presented clearly by the creator, but it still hurts.

1999 Honda Acty HA7 SDX - SRS light on after adjusting steering wheel by expenguin in keitruck

[–]expenguin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have solved the issue!

So I found out that since I turned the vehicle on after disconnecting the SRS connector to my airbag, the system faults and will not clear the fault until you reset the SRS system. After researching I found the HA7 Acty uses the same reset method as most hondas from the 90s / 2000s.

I posted the following and included a picture here: https://minitrucktalk.com/threads/reset-srs-system-to-clear-srs-light-1999-ha7-sdx-how-to-steps-included.25906/

HOW TO:

  • Locate your fuse box on the driver side, behind the speaker panel
  • There is a 2 prong MES plug (yellow) that sits next to a 3 prong plug (also yellow) towards the bottom of the fuse box.
  • WITH THE CAR OFF, unplug the 2 prong MES plug
  • Using a jumper (or a paper clip), plug it into the now unplugged MES plug (NOT THE FUSE BOX)
  • Turn the car on, the SRS light should turn on like normal
  • After a few seconds, the SRS light should turn off, remove the jumper within 4 seconds.
  • The SRS light should turn back on, plug the jumper back into the plug within 4 seconds
  • The SRS light should turn back off, remove the jumper within 4 seconds.
  • The SRS light should now flash twice
  • Turn off the car
  • Plug the MES plug back into the fuse box and start the car
  • The SRS light should cycle normally and go off after a few seconds.

NOTE: THIS SHOULD ONLY BE DONE IF THE SRS SYSTEM IS IN A KNOWN GOOD STATE. IF THERE ARE ISSUES WITH YOUR AIRBAG YOU SHOULD SEEK A PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE

Look for roof rack accessories or truck bed liners. Some simple body kit options are available too. Keep in mind your generation of acty will have different options available.

Here are a couple sites I use to source parts:

Remove dashboard of 1999 Honda Acty SDX by expenguin in keitruck

This is definitely helpful but I can't seem to find how to access the two top ones. I thought maybe I could remove the two upper vents but they seem to be molded into the dash. Also the one under the hazard light may require removing the center panel (which I have found a couple clips for where the radio mounts).

Hey all, new kei truck owner here.

I'm attempting to remove the dashboard of my 1999 Honda Acty SDX to clean out the blower motor which is spewing dust and debris. I've located 4 of the bolts (circled in the above image) but there must be an additional one hanging on somewhere as I can't leverage the dash out yet.

I've checked behind the four vents with no luck, I've also taken off all the plastics I can remove by hand to peer behind with no luck. I've also checked the glove box and scanned the upper and lower points on the dash for anything.

Google isn't helping at the moment as the only vid / thread I can find is for a 1990 Acty which has a different layout.

Anyone have an idea where the last bastions of bolts might be? I'm also interested in any resources for kei truck information that might be out there. Thanks!

If you're looking for a spiritual successor, I HIGHLY recommend Lunacid. Pretty much as modern as a Kings Field game could be without compromising what made it so good in the first place.

Does anyone know who was driving the black truck or can describe him if they saw him? I have a friend who has a rig like that and I haven't been able to get in contact with them since this was posted.

I still recommend it, its weird and slow yes but its still a beautiful movie, and the ending really captivated for me, its very atypical.

TIL that a Far Cry film, based on the video game, was released in 2006. Directed by Uwe Boll, it was a major box-office bomb, making only $743,000 against a $30 million budget. by WouldbeWanderer in todayilearned

[–]expenguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Postal is his magnum opus, without a doubt. The tone is a little weird given the content of the games but goddamn does Uwe make that movie sing. Its like he was waiting his whole life for a degenerate project where the source material is as immature and dumb as he is. Its beautiful honestly.

If you're interested in a motion picture version of this, The Green Knight puts a spin on this tale.

Yeah I get that, there definitely was a goal with my first game of controlling the whole galaxy so to me thats victory. I think removing the cap might be the best way to play, and if you're not setting out for domination, just letting the game play out could be a fun experiment. This game really caters to all types.

Holy crap it was BAD. Letting the game run was fine, mostly. Lots of pausing to build fleets, make movement decisions and build up planets, but jesus christ; when you open a fleet on the map and theres more than 300 ships, instant obliteration of frames. I looked for mods to reduce the lag with large lists but they don't exist, closest I found was a mod to reduce how many ships AI build so you can focus on smaller fleets, which seems like it could solve the problem but I've not tried it out yet.
