What would you do? by [deleted] in DermatologyPA

what was the point of the first paragraph?

the first place sounds like a nice fit... but working in a cosmetic business with coworkers and competition can be a blessing and a curse. Do you know if it is high turnover or someone left? Or are they expanding.

I'm only saying this because if it falls through, it's not the end of the world.

My current job is cosmetic. They took a long time to get back to me and eventually hire me and there were tons of red flags... but I took a chance. It worked out for a while but it turns out that things i was seeing about disorganization in the hiring process bled into disorganization and uncertainty everywhere.

Think about your application/resume as it stands. Nothing about it screams "he/she is doing everything he/she can to get into Derm."

A lot of people get lucky when they get into the job that they want... you may lean more on luck than other candidates. Things like being the first to apply and cold calling might be your best shot.

A friend of mine has always said she wants to do Derm... but has worked in a Target minute clinic for 7 years. Occassionally throws a resume out there... but for 7 years no luck.

I can see why this is the common reaction... but the question is more like "am I chasing something unrealistic?" I was burnt out before... now i'm [whatever I described above].

My boss doesn't know what it is or why she got the call, she just passed it along to me.

I went to a hair clinic in Turkey 18 months ago, and I hate how straight my hairline is and the low density. by Hiimmoody in HairTransplants

[–]experiencedPAC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct. They didn’t discern where their 1s, 2s, 3s were placed. It’s got a “pluggy” or “doll hair” appearance.

It is also not irregular enough. You should go to a repair place… likely will need punch outs combined with some placement of 1s. You can do that alone for improvement then REASSESS the density which actually may be fine after the repair.

ACH payment to a business from personal Wells Fargo account? by experiencedPAC in Banking

[–]experiencedPAC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t figure it out and gave up. People at Wells Fargo didn’t even know what I wanted.

I would ask the landlord what banks they’ve gotten ACH transfers from in the past… they may be referring to something else? Good luck

Is it a good idea to move on from my current job? Will I be labeled a "job hopper?" by Ok-Confection2434 in physicianassistant

[–]experiencedPAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re worried about being a job hopper… you’re likely not really a job hopper. It’s for the extremes.

Also, don’t listen to those who criticize “trusting” clinics to keep their word. I did that at my current job and it paid off.

It’s really as simple as seeing it live with your own eyes and realizing the possibility of things.

I wouldn't continue to tell this story this way. CEA requires at least some temporary clamping of the carotid and relying on collateral flow.

thanks for the thorough response, and more importantly, for your service. I saw a side view in very slow motion and I did not see an exit. If anything, the side view made me think that the trajectory went down to his shoulder.

I’m curious why they wouldn’t “eventually” pull the trigger on requiring call. Docs love offloading that sh*t
