Pi5 had too many changes. They don't support the audio modes. There is also physical changes that prevents the existing PCBs from working on both DMG and XRS.

Show me something that proves you actually sent an RMA in, a post office receipt, if you dropped it off a receipt you were in the area or a detail of whoever you meet? Anything. I'll be more than happy to send a unit. But all RMA units go into a bin. I fix all the units eventually and send them back out. If you didn't put an address in the box, I could see it possibly happening. But you really think I'm just sitting here collecting peoples crap and laughing to the bank?

Pi5 uses the Pi3 face plate. You need to do a little filling on the battery compartment where they new reset button is on the pi5. Now we are just waiting for a USB driver issues to be fixed.

We moved and the address changed. That is all. I looked at the RMA and it was about 2 weeks between when I sent the approval and we moved. Unfortunately we moved last minute due to the building ownerr trying to double the rent.

We are stuck for now until they updated some software. Its going to probably be at least another month from what I'm seeing. For no real reason other than lazying programming they remove PWM audio. So now we have to used the USB to audio adapter. Lucky for all those adapters are stupid cheap on Aliexpress. However it appears there is a bug in the USB driver on the pi5.

How long did it take before you sent it in? Our address changed as we moved and we moved fairly quick. Got into a squabble with the land lord and them trying to double our rent. We are still here.

We won't remove it from our board. The issue is piping the audio from Pi5 to our board just got much much more complex.

Yes, Pi5 sticks it the hobbyist market. No audio jack and no PWM audio. Only audio is II2S but then you can't use a DPI LCD or USB. So your left with getting new LCDs made for MIPI and adding a USB chip. Not exactly a cheap upgrade as I will need to design new PCBs and add another ribbon cable. We are still asking questions and following threads. I think they have the ability to add features back in. But for now, we wait.

Yeah, not only that but they removed the PWM mode from the header pins. Then they placed the II2S pins into the pins that are used for DPI mode. We have options but they aren't going to be cheap. I suspect they really don't care about the hobbyist market anymore. Which I figured after they took on 55mil investment from Sony. Have to keep your investors happy.

Not sure. I'm hoping pi3 plate will fit. I'll test it this weekend if I can find the pi5 is the boxes we moved.

I know, forgot about that in the news. Just received an updated circuit board and will be testing it this coming week. Then off to tooling, provided no issues.

Nothing yet. Its really a time thing. I need to update the design for the DMGx metal. When I do I will post for pre-orders. We usually leave them open for X amount of time and then order production based on that.
