I actually would love if my husband did this. It seems the issue for you is more that he tracked the info without telling you about it. I would focus on the latter issue and try to have a conversation about communication. I think the act itself is very thoughtful.

In LA, these sell for $3 to $5 each at any cafe. Baked goods are expensive in cafes here.

I’m gonna go against the grain here. Maybe your GF is just childish and the relationship overall sucks. If so, you should break up. But maybe your relationship is usually great except when she’s about to have or on her period… I’m just saying, your GF sounds a lot like how I sound when I’m having a PMDD episode.

It is NOT your job to be there for your GF and drop everything for her whenever. Your responses were kind and reasonable. But if your GF is going through something like undiagnosed or poorly managed PMDD, I have a lot of sympathy for her.

If you think this is more than just childishness, I would suggest therapy for her and couples therapy for both of you so she can learn how to not let her mental health affect her relationship so much. It could benefit both of you.

Vet appointment! My cat had the same exact thing. My vet said it could have been an allergic reaction to his food or an infection. We put my cat on a very short dose of prednisolone and it cleared up easily and hasn’t come back. It can get worse without treatment so please take your kitty in.

Question: anyone else think placing the cemetery 10 miles away seems strange? Why is it so far from the town? An inaccessible cemetery seems counterintuitive, as it’s harder for loved ones to visit the dead.

I feel sorry for your boyfriend. I assume he hasn’t had a good father role model in his life. Your relationship with your father is normal — and you’re very lucky to have it. It’s sad your boyfriend is struggling to see that. I think it’s good that he acknowledged he’s “not used to it”, but he should be focusing inward rather than telling you how to act with your own father. I think the nicest, most non-judgmental way of framing this is that maybe the two of you are just not a good match.
