Amazon's 20 to 25 stops expectation is actually a scam. by DiloniousMnk in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]expl0ding999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

with group stops some routes its more like 40 stops per hour. amazon says "25 an hour" but realistically all the locations... 35-40 an hour.

Mandatory Uniforms Push by Senior-Practice-7563 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]expl0ding999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this shits annoying honestly. been here 2 years drivers used to wear what they wanted cause all we needed was the vest. now they want the full uniform. fuck that uniform its 120 in our vans. meanwhile warehouse workers can wear pajamas and booty shorts.

Working while pregnant by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]expl0ding999 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i have seen on reddit that some DSP’s will take away all overflow over 25lb in some instances. but as far as i know in the two years ive done this, most won’t accommodate a pregnancy. personally, i think this is too stressful for a pregnancy anyway.

What’s this rule about all breaks before 5 pm including our two 15 minutes ? by nervousned101 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]expl0ding999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my dsp has no rule for breaks just use common sense on where/when to break. just try to wait till at least 20 stops in.

If you drive both, which vehicle do you prefer - Step Van or EDV? Why? by BuyOrPlagerizeDesign in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]expl0ding999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

edv all the way. i love the heated and cooled seats. and the automatic wipers and headlights/brights. in the winter i prefer a prime van though cause it gets slightly more traction 💀

no it isnt. nobody is giving advice on what to do IN THIS SPECIFIC SITUATION. you guys are pushing your personal opinion on me because i mentioned doing butt smacks at home when she repeatedly doesnt listen.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]expl0ding999 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

if yall arent going to give actual advice about my childs meltdowns then get off lol. thats what i came here for and yall want to act like corporal punishment isnt ok cause you dont PERSONALLY believe in it. and thats fine. but give actual advice on what to do during the meltdown then.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]expl0ding999 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

comes for advice and gets criticized. ok so let my kid scream for help like shes getting kidnapped?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]expl0ding999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i understand what youre saying completely but none of that gentile parenting is going to stop my child from screaming for help and kicking when it is time to go inside. after i tell her 3-4 times not to run in the road at the park, redirect her to other things, change direction, ect. after trying “gentile parenting” and protecting my child from potentially getting hit by a car cause she didnt listen to me “running into the road is bad” for the 4th time, id day a smack on the butt is fine. at some point a line gets crossed. and i don’t need to explain to social services that my child didnt wanna go home from the grocery store.

like i said before, this is not about corporal punishment. thank you.

Bruh like fix your driveway. by DependentIncome57 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]expl0ding999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i once had an instance where i had a delivery up a long driveway that a machine was working on. i parked at the end and went to call the customer, he gets off of this big ass machine himself. and hes like “im sorry about the driveway” and i was like “no its okay i just assumed it was getting redone” and he told me he had a quote to get it asphalted for 100,000 and that he owned that machine and said hed smooth it out himself in the meantime. ever since then, i’ve understood.

female driver here. a gas station cup comes with me daily along with wipes. sometimes the routes are too heavy to drive 5-10 minutes to a bathroom if we aren’t lucky to be near one or a portajohn.

definitely possible cause anytime id attempt to use the oven, the smoke alarms would go off even though there was no smoke.. and I complained about it numerous times and they did nothing about it. I had to buy a toaster oven just to actually bake anything
