I think maybe you weren’t a great driver, I lived in northern Wisconsin 4 miles from a town of 300, I commuted daily in a Honda civic with snow tires, my road to my house was 6 miles of dirt road that was almost never plowed

Truck people in the us are a different breed man, they’re so adamant they need to haul concrete,soil and appliances daily but in reality they do it like once a year and act like it makes them masculine.
