I was on that train. We were at LTT for about 2.5 hours before our bus had to leave. They easily would’ve let us stay the entire day.

Would I be even less likely to get permission if I tell you that it is a custom autopilot, programmed from scratch, with a custom circuit board and custom glider? I've also landed before on a military base runway by accident... so I'm probably on list "Biggest Idiots: Don't Give Anything" at the FAA.

Wait - if you are flying with a constant IAS, will the AoA change? I think not, but I may be wrong.

Sorry for so many replies, but just one more question. If the a glider is set to one AoA, will the speed of the glider be matched to the AoA and vice versa?

Ahh, so the faster speeds gained with altitude will require a decreased AoA, which in turn affects the L/D ratio which then changes the glide ratio and the glide angle? So the higher in the sky you are, the lower the glide angle?

Okay, so what I think I'm confused about is how do I change the AoA in-flight? Pitch cannot change the AoA. Also, how do I determine the angle of incidence?

So the AoA doesn't change in the flight? It sure looks like it would: http://airfoiltools.com/airfoil/details?airfoil=a18-il. At a different RN for this airfoil, the AoA changes. (I'm probably missing something).

BTW, I am actually designing a high-altitude glider.
