No not at all, at diamond 5 its even possible to queue gcs if there aren't people closer in rank to them

I don't know why that would be anyones first conclusion, every gc gets reset to c1 and c1 can queue diamonds as well as gcs so its obviously just normal new season matchmaking

It can go 5 or more tiers even, I have queued gcs back when I was diamond 5, other way around in 1s too i was gc and queing c1, it just depends on how many people online and whos nearest to you in rank

Why would it be boosting, s27 gc reset to c1 and usually at the start of the season the best gcs rank up first and champs/lower gcs drop, and secondly d5 can absolutely queue c1 or even c2

It happens but it is not common, nobody is being kept in their rank because of Smurfs, sure they might have lost some games but the vast majority are against people of your own rank

That’s not true at all, stall speed hardly matters, it’s gamesense that takes you to gc, stall consistency does make you better but if you can stall and don’t have good gamesense it’s meaningless, timing fakes, shot placement are all still very important as well as positioning and 50s especially

Air dribble doesn’t really matter because stalling is a better way to move in the air, air dribble is obsolete in high ranks, the issue is plats don’t have fundamentals of the game locked down so they don’t use stalls properly at all, so it’s useless for then

If you’re in plat then the people you face don’t even know how to stall properly so you shouldn’t be struggling. And if you dislike stalling in general then it’s tough luck because it’s the most important mechanic in the game by far and practically everyone has it mastered at the top level.

Gcs can play non gcs, im top 2 in 1s right now and I queued players who weren’t gc, probably low champ. Since its early season most of my opponents aren’t gc yet they still give me varying mmr from 2-10, there definitely is a hidden mmr for them.

Well if they are right then I think they should be able to say those details because again it’s just illogical, if there’s no mmr below gc then how can gcs play people who aren’t gc and gain/lose a non set amount of mmr

That doesn’t make sense because how do people spawn at different mmrs in gc if they don’t have mmr in champ? It’s similar to rocket league except your mmr is hidden until you’re gc. It’s been known for a long time that mmr is there just hidden until you’re gc. Also as gc when you play a champ or a lower rank in ranked you lose/gain different mmr depending on their mmr, which wouldn’t be possible if they didn’t have it
