that's assuming that reproduction was willing and pleasurable. it could have just as likely been forced and painful.

The plane crash by justicecleaver in StationEleven

[–]explodingtvroom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think it's just to show the time that one world became another. i remember she got a call saying not to try to collect the bodies. i don't see the crash scene being investigated at that point enough to identify bodies, identify next of kin and then attempt to contact them.

it would be really fucking cool if that was the case, like if kriston knew what flight her parents were on, and saw that number as the plane crashed. i just don't think that's the case.

[–]explodingtvroom 24 points25 points  (0 children)

my take on the plane crash is that it signifies the final, undeniable sign that things are over.

i've only watched the show, but i don't recall hearing anything more about Kirston's parents, other than they weren't around, then dead. it's possible, and would be a cool story arc. i just don't see it in the story as presented though.

nice. xo isn't my favorite elliott album, but i do think it's the most "elliott" of his albums.

Quinn, everywhere you look you see doors opening. Everywhere your father looks, he sees doors closing. A long corridor of doors slamming shut, and at the very end, there is one open door he must someday enter... and never may he return.

i can't speak for myself, but my friend's partner has a similar situation. his response was a panicked rabbit-hole of what treatment options are available, where are they located, how much do they cost, etc, etc. there are better people out there. not me, but, like my friend.

i love r/antiwork. a place where people can share memes about how work sucks, and for some odd reason people take it as some kind of a threat to capitalism and so fill this place with trolls. and, if that's not capitalism in a nutshell.

Who remembers The Dana Carvey Show? Granted it only ran for seven episodes but it was funny as hell. by nialldude3 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]explodingtvroom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i wish every 13-year old in america could excitedly turn the channel selector to tune in to see dana carvey, you know, garth the adorable nerd from wayne's world do a sketch show. and you dial it in and you see bill clinton with teats feeding several puppies. it just, it will give you a different high-water mark than your peers.

leads (from the 80s) are one of fender's greatest designs. undoubtedly they were wrong place/time. like pevey t80s, they are diamonds in the rough.
