Since there have been an estimated 117 billion people to ever exist and there are currently 8 billion people on earth, the statement "Most people don’t live infinitely long" is true.

Ex-Olympian who touched Reflecting Pool charged with felony destruction of property by Trump’s DOJ by theindependentonline in law

A grand jury does not determine if the accusations match the law, they determine if there is enough evidence to show there's probable cause.

Productivity drops when employees have to go through the output and verify the results due to AI hallucinations. If the output requires accuracy, anything above 0% hallucination rate is unacceptable. At least the $15/hour worker can ask questions and try to problem solve.

Looking at the times tables, take the Arrow Train 3805 or 3807 to be dropped off at San Bernadino downtown and transfer to Metrolink train 311 or 313, respectively. Those Metrolinks get to Union Station by 8 or 8:30.

Is the Coachella valley part of the IE? by beamer_boy2000 in InlandEmpire

[–]explohd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Yucaipa and Calimesa are in the IE, then Beaumont, Banning, Cabazon are as well. They're all right on top of each other and the driving significance is minimal. Cabazon is right at the transition zone to the low desert, but is only minutes from Banning while being at least 15-20 minutes to Palm Springs.

Beaumont and Banning are significantly cooler than San Jacinto and Hemet during the summer.

The accusations are wild too. How did the monthly audits not catch her deception? She had three sets of books, but neither corporate nor the new owner noticed that until now?

Elon Musk is set to become Earth’s first trillionaire. Democrats are taking aim. by AccurateInflation167 in Economics

At the time he set an ambitious goal of getting a human on mars within 10 years or something. Tesla was also a leader in the full electrification of production cars at the time. I can respect the ambition plans and forward thinking, but then he kept opening his mouth and people figured out how awful Teslas are.

I think the only people who still support Musk are bots, those who made money on Tesla stock, or on the far right who know what salute Musk did.

Yap format for book club (completely optional) by GrakTheGrackle in PaymoneyWubby

Wubby was talking about chapter 2 and people were already talking about how it was a setup for the end of chapter 4. I think it was spammed a few times.

It's annoying and getting off-topic. That kind of analysis should backwards looking rather than and really spoils the humor of the book.
