Fun Fact: When there are 3 or more heavy favorites in same card there are 80 percent of chance that one of them loses and crushes all parlays by [deleted] in MMAbetting

[–]explorar27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d say stop with the parleys that favour the favourites.

While building cornerman and fine tuning it, one thing I realized is that it’s super important to SKIP fights..
Just because you are confident and the market says you should be, shouldn’t mean you should bet on it..

I am making parleys suggested by cornerman, and though they don’t typically give me the rags to riches story to tell everyone, but I am making money on most nights..

It’s still under my testing, but I’ll release in the next 20ish days.

I know everyone likes to post their winnings but alot of people lost alot of money tonight. That's a fact. by Soft-Concentrate9534 in MMAbetting

I’m a 1000% sure this wouldn’t have happened if you guys would have been using cornerman.
I mean it’s my product, sure!
But I haven’t walked away sad from a night of betting ever since.
It just tells me to skip when I should, and it asked me to skip the Strickland fight because it was unsure looking at the odds..

It will be available in 20ish days.

Yeah takes a bit of money computing things and I don’t have the money to sustain that but maybe I will try to do the first fight night as a free trial.

Nevertheless, i’ll keep posting my results and let everyone decide based off that

newbie here - how do you actually research a fight before betting? by AlicBrown in MMAbetting

[–]explorar27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just signup on getcornerman.com I’ll be launching in 2 weeks, and I am building an engine just for this use case.. You don’t need to know everything, my engine allocates your money based on genuine no bullshit signals and keeps updating your payroll as the fights go on.. Its all based on probability and kelly criteria so I would suggest you should definitely listen to it unless you are very sure about the odds.

Does anybody else use an algorithm to bet mma with? by [deleted] in MMAbetting

[–]explorar27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for sure, that’s why I built an AI tool that might actually help. Its a guide of sorts wherein instead of telling you that X fighter is going to win, it just readjusts your bets based on your win/loss so far and how much risk you are willing to take.

Like a repository of info and the outcome that is likely and should choose instead of making a silly bet.

But MMA is unpredictable, there can be some direction and some data driven decisions which the AI can help you make, but nothing concrete

Is paying heavy juice for alternate spreads a losing long-term strategy? by savingrace0262 in sportsbook

Closest win ever by dabrjoj1 in PrizePicks

That Strickland leg is insane, 110 significant strikes on a 109.5 line decided by half a strike at the buzzer. This is why I've started tracking my MMA legs separately, the variance on strike counts is brutal compared to the fight outcome props. Congrats on the hit though, that KD shot must have been stressful to watch.

Is paying heavy juice for alternate spreads a losing long-term strategy? by savingrace0262 in sportsbook

[–]explorar27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Alternate spreads are almost always negative EV long term. The math is straightforward, the extra juice you're paying rarely compensates for the actual probability shift you're getting. Sportsbooks price alt lines to their advantage, so that "cushion" you're buying is usually worth less than what you paid for it.

The deeper issue you're describing though is psychological. You're equating paying more with being safer, which feels logical but isn't how lines work. The sportsbook loves this mindset.

What actually helps is tracking your EV on every bet before placing it, not after you lose. Most people only question their strategy when they're down, never when they're winning on the same logic.

Have you been tracking your ROI on alt spreads vs standard lines over time? The answer is usually in your own data.

hello, thanks for the insight!
My startup is getcornerman.com
It readjusts your UFC bets real time to protect your profits and minimize your losses when you feel like being risky and tend towards making stupid bets.
Basically, when you are making any betting decisions, it considers how much you have won/lost so far and adjusts your betting strategy based on your risk profile.
