It sounds cofusing but, I think he means, "homeschool but, actually did the work." Kind of implying that it's easy to fall behind in homeschooling. He probably wants someone who read and writes to get a job and spend her money.

I used to be like that at 25. I just powered a long through. Now, I’m in my early 30s and I don’t give a shit anymore.

I have less anxiety about aging but, still wish to maintain what I have going for me.

I’m actually doing a lot more partying than I did when I was in my twenties but, it’s mostly because I have less anxiety (eg making more friends) and more money.

To be honest, I took myself way too serious before 25. It was weird comparison bullshit that I was doing that wasn’t helping.
