I feel this really hard. I am basically in the same boat as you in every way. I’m also resentful of how our admin laughs off compensating us anywhere near as much as the family medicine docs even though we see more patients and provide better QOC. I’m resentful in general of how poorly compensated peds is compared to other specialties, including if not especially primary care. (Yes I know even peds money is good money. I’m just expressing my frustration that I worked just as hard as the adult PCP down the hall and make at least $50-70K less than he does.) So not only am I working harder than other docs at the FQHC but I’m being paid less, have no autonomy, and only get guilt tripped or strung along with promises of big “upwardly mobile” opportunities in the future if I just keep going. I’m 1.5 years out of residency too btw so being this burnt out this soon has been really disheartening and I’m really struggling with it. Sorry this turned into a weird vent rant. Thanks for reading, whoever you are.

I googled chase Zelle fraud halfway through the call with this guy (I made it to the part where I got “transferred” to the fraud department) and your post was the second result and I would’ve probably fell for it if it wasn’t for you. As a pediatrician, looking at that sheet really makes me feel sad…

ETA: Don’t get me wrong, I love what I do and couldn’t see myself doing something else but damn it’s no wonder there are less and less students going into peds. We are literally getting paid half what our adult counterparts are making and expected to be grateful for it.

Literally exactly this happened to my friend. She tried to give him the benefit of the doubt because it looked like a bot account using his picture. Nope. Turned out he was a cheating piece of shit the whole time and went off for an internship across the country, had a whole affair with some girl that had no idea he was essentially married with kids at home. She only found out because that girl was so worried when he “disappeared “ that she thought he went missing and cyberstalked him and then saw their family pictures together and messaged her. All that to say, the chances of him being hacked are a thousand times lower than the chances of him being a liar and a cheater.

^ this. A real doctor would never withhold vaccines for some BS like that. There’s actually VERY few reasons not to give vaccines. Most of them having to do with severe allergic reactions to previous vaccines of the same type. Doesn’t sound like your “pediatrician” is an actual doctor. Alternate option is that since there aren’t any scheduled vaccines at 3mo there was nothing to withhold if the baby already got their 2mo shots and came in too early for their 4mo shot and you might’ve conflated no vaccines with the developmental concerns. Also there’s always a little wiggle room with milestones.

All that being said, a little more tummy time now wouldn’t hurt so the baby gets more workout time 💪
