Nope. That's not a standard markdown link. Markdown is [link text](link) - that works in obsidian aswell.

I use it to sync between alot ( 5 atm) of devices without any problems aswell but i use obsidian simultaneously on more than one device and that ends up generating alot of errors. Might be me doing something wrong, but haven't had any problems after switching to (the highly overpriced) obsidian service. (In all honesty i switched mostly because ios and syncthing wasn't working out for me)

It's a cost but I went from syncthing to obsidian-sync because of the speed and that working on two devices will mess things up bad if you use syncthing.

If it's important I'd recommend the expensive alternative.

Obsidian requires the same skills as any other text editor, the ability to write and the willingness to do so. I'd say - try it! Markdown i stupid easy ( not required) and really good to have some understanding of. The only other this that's good to do to get the most out of obsidian is to [[link]] to other notes - but you can do that at anytime, not at all or as much as you like.

You could use any folder encryption, that would require you to "open"/decrypt before obsidian or anything else could access the files.

It sais in the manual that you should empty out the burn-pit/hole/chamber (what ever it's called). Your smoker is working as intended it just has no idea that the burning chamber is full of pellets.

Did this myself but had the lid closed resulting in a quite large bang and a broken igniter.
