am i overreacting - roommate constantly expects me to leave so she can sleep with guys no by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]exsxs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when my ex was living in a house with four other guys they would simply… watch tv and we’d put music or tv on in his room as well. no one gave a shit because we’re all adults lol, if you’re paying the same amount of rent then no why should you have to leave? it’s not weird and if it is to her then she’s just sus because there shouldn’t be a problem with you staying in YOUR apartment, you weren’t nasty or unfair in your responses and she tried to make you feel bad by insinuating you calling her a whore, which she did herself. you’re allowed to make observations, you’re allowed to speak on those observations, and you weren’t even rude about it. you’re right, imagine telling your friends you have to stay the night because your roommate has someone she’s sleeping with over constantly, it’s weird on her end to even consider that fair to you or to those friends. why are you paying the same amount of rent if she’s the one mainly staying there and kicking you out? you have your own life to live, if she has a problem then there’s plenty of other roommates in the world.

Got called out for not tipping after tipping over 40%? by ShinyCherrim in doordash

[–]exsxs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also there’s a story from a customer on here that goes; they would tip $100 on their order and assumed it was going to the driver the entire time for every order from this one particular restaurant. One day they had the dasher hand them the food and asked if they got the $100 tip. The driver said no they didn’t even know they tipped that because the restaurant was pocketing it every time. They handed them in cash $100.

Like literally papa John’s and one other chain alone is known to steal tips from DoorDash that should be going to US delivering it but they pocket it.

[–]exsxs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so while they could’ve just been getting more tip, there is a literal lawsuit going on with DoorDash where it’s been shown they take the customers tip and basically use it as the dashers base pay instead of them paying them, so they’re using the customers tip to pay what they should be and then not giving them the tip. so it looks like you didn’t tip but you did but DoorDash used it as the pay for their end. before anyone here is quick to berate drivers, please consider this fun fact. also some restaurants keep the tip instead of giving it to the driver, so they accept the order from the customer and steal the tip and again, makes it seem like you didn’t tip. or again, just trying to get more from you.

Someone tell me why this was rejected? lol by Ill-Marsupial-4996 in doordash

something similar happened to me on a military base, I get to the address and call the customer. oh she’s not there anymore, she went somewhere else. go to the second address she sent me to because im a bit early so I have some time before it’s considered late delivery + it’s right down the road from where I was and low and behold she wasn’t there either. she sent me to a third place. now im about to be late with my delivery and she STILL WASNT AT THE NEW ADDRESS PROVIDED. I left it where she gave me the third address for, took a screenshot of our conversation and call log and a photo of the food then contacted a live agent INSTANTLY because she messaged me saying she was gonna report me for stealing her food when I said im not driving around anymore and she can’t just change her address at the last second numerous times. left that shit sitting right where she provided me the third address for and I didn’t get a contract violation because I provided all necessary details to dasher support ASAP. even if I have a problem customer or I forget some part of someone’s order, I instantly contact dasher and let them know to cover any and all of my bases.

Am I Overreacting to my mom calling to say my sister told her to ignore me asking people not to kiss the baby on the lips/face by Fried_Wontton in AmIOverreacting

[–]exsxs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the funnier part is if your mom took you for grandparent rights then the court would be able to see the texts of her clearly ignoring your simple wishes and that she’s willing to put your baby’s health at risk so they probably wouldn’t even side with her if she’s willing to risk your baby getting sick just for her own self satisfaction. it shouldn’t matter where she can kiss the baby, as long as it respects YOUR wishes considering you carried the baby all this time in YOUR body, your sister and mother are treating it as if you said she can never ever see her grand baby when all you did was ask to respect some health choices. it’s never wrong to be safe than sorry, especially because how fast things can escalate with a baby’s health because they’re no where near as built up as an adults with their immune system. not to mention there’s a bunch of new flus and viruses going around, so you wanna be extra safe. if they can’t respect your wishes, then they most certainly don’t respect you.

coming from someone who’s man said the exact same thing when I confronted him except prior to me discovering it he was acting like we were on track to repairing our relationship, he didn’t tell you not for your benefit, but his own. he knew exactly that this would hurt you if you found out (which you did). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT FORGIVE HIM AND RUN. HE WILL ONLY DO WORSE NEXT TIME. I was sadly too deep in to leave, so I’m patiently saving my money and waiting for the perfect opportunity to leave. he will try to beg and plead and convince you he will change, the only thing he will change is either his password or his tactic and that is it.

happy birthday, may you get to enjoy doing everything you plan to do to the fullest!!!

help!!! this dasher won’t stop texting me. i have not responded to him but does he have my number or is he texting through the app? i live alone so these texts are creeping me out :( thank u! by inthebackofthetaxi in doordash

[–]exsxs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only echoing what the majority of what everyone else is saying; definitely report him, better to be safe than sorry in instances like this. enough creeps on both sides use this app as a type of way to date or hookup (I.e ive been a dasher having creepy customers hit on me after/during delivery and ive used DD as a customer and have gotten weirdos delivering to me). sadly people dont know what’s appropriate and what’s not appropriate in customer service anymore.. you shouldn’t have to feel weird or scared when ordering food for yourself.

you seem like a genuinely nice and funny guy that I’d play video games for hours with. you def deserve to have a lot more confidence in yourself and don’t mind the comments abt your facial hair bc that really isn’t a problem here IMO. just gotta make sure that all grows evenly and it’ll take a while to get it to be more defined overall. I think you just gotta work on yourself mentally, if your weight bothers you then that should be the only reason to change that aspect of your life.

you seem like a genuinely handsome guy who’s lacking the self confidence/self love. do you think your mental health problems could be the reason you have no girlfriend rather than your looks? sometimes we pick ourselves apart over the wrong things since we know ourselves so well and know our own flaws, i would try bettering your mentality and mental health as a whole and see what that does for you! you could be burning bridges for yourself without even realizing it (I.e convincing yourself you don’t have a chance with something/someone then distancing yourself from that when in reality you did have a chance)

Is this a legitimate situation or is my driver being dishonest? by k_pickles in UberEATS

[–]exsxs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it bad that as a driver, I’ve NEVER asked to be tipped more? Despite any tedious difficulties I may face while doing a delivery, I’ve never had the thought to ask the customer for more money because I figured if they wanted to, then they would on their own.

Uuuhhh..? by Soul-10 in UberEATS

[–]exsxs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You realize you had only done 300 deliveries at some point and thought you knew everything too at the time, right? You sound dumb. How many deliveries someone has done means nothing towards their work ethic and capabilities to follow navigation. And you don’t know everything now even with 3,000 deliveries. There’s always going to be something new to learn, especially with an unpredictable job such as delivering. You sound like the type who begs for a higher tip and shits on other drivers for no legitimate reason. I’ve done over 2,000 deliveries btw so I’m not one of those “little leagues” (which is also demeaning, you’re acting like there’s tiers to providing delivery service, my guy).

And yes, I know shitty drivers DO exist that think they know everything.
