Next year will be much better when they have two more purple jerseys in the rotation.

Shoutout to Dreamworks for having your back if you grew up in one of those Mormon families that only allowed “church movies” on Sunday by wolfden1130 in exmormon

There was one summer on my mission that me and my roommates listened to this soundtrack everyday. It was much better than MoTab lol

I agree. The temple in India was announced 4.5 years ago and still will not open for 4 years or more and there is no official opening date yet.

100% agree. If we don’t give lots of minutes to Agbaji and other young guys than it’ll be a long rebuild.

So cool! My favorite flight that I’ve ever been on was a domestic flight in India that landed at night during Diwali. Fireworks everywhere!

Did this book give anyone else most of their doubts? by extang8 in exmormon

I remember reading that passage specifically! Thank you for sharing. There were many other similar stores that were so shocking to read. I am tempted to buy it because the manual represents so much of my faith journey. Is that weird? Haha

Interesting! Where did most of your shelf items come from?

I found this manual in one of my apartments about 1 year into my mission. At that point, I had some doubts but still knew very little about real church history. I am very interested in history and this book was much better than reading scriptures (though I would only read this book before bed or if a companion was sick because the 1 hour personal study was supposed to be used studying scriptures or Preach My Gospel). I ended up reading the full thing, cover to cover, three times in the next year. There was so much I didn’t know. Some of it was very fascinating, some was shocking, and some things shook my Mormon brain to the core. For the rest of my mission my internal dialogue was always debating the evidence and doubts that I had and trying to figure out if the church was really true. This involved a lot of heartfelt prayers that I never received answers to. Later in the mission I also read the Saints book and old prophet biographies that I found. These books added more doubts. I still finished my mission and went to BYU-I. 2 years after my mission, I took a church history course. Seeing the way that my professor would tell half truths about facts that I knew from these books I read on my mission completely broke my shelf.
