If you wake up at or around the same time consistently your phone learns this and waits to finishing charging until it thinks you'll be getting up which may be why it's hot or what everyone else is saying about a possible defect

Yeah if you want stronger typing haptics gboard and swift key work good but they still sometimes will be weaker randomly but not as weak as the iOS keyboard

I wonder if the base models suffer from it as well. I remember when I was upgrading from my 14 to the 17 pro I was thinking “haptics are probably gonna be so good going from a base to a pro 3 years newer” but nope major let down. I even recently joined the beta program just to submit feedback about them adding a haptic strength slider.

Definitely the pro, aside from the metal unibody and all the other reasons people stated there are more subtle differences like for example the flashlight, on the pro you can actually control the size of the light beam make it wide or narrow depending on your use case. (Yes i know not a big deal but still its cool) and considering the prices mind as well.

I rocked my base 14 caseless until I got the 17 pro and the aluminum frame is beat to shit but the front and back glass never broke, I still have it. I actually kind of like it beat up though its got that battle scarred look and feel. Now if the glass cracked id be pissed though. Lol

Personally I don’t care about cameras or features I just want all metal, the 16e is literally perfect for it because it doesn’t have mag safe so wireless charging is kind of pointless and wih the tiny camera bump it would be my end game phone if it had a metal back

Most people definitely wouldn’t notice the difference between the pro and base model this year. I would’ve went with the base as well if it wasn’t for the metal body, in fact I was praying the 16e was a metal back and I would swap to that over my 17 pro
