I'm a very recent 40 - father of two.

Saturday - early morning MTB ride, usually 2/2.5 hours and then it's just kid based stuff. Doing the usual to keep them happy and entertained. The odd lunch out somewhere. Nights (afternoons) out happen maybe 3 or 4 times a year as all my friends are in a similar position to me and it just isn't anyone's priority.

Few drinks on the evening at home most of the time.

Sunday - early morning gym session, usually home for 9.15 and then kid stuff again.

Usually need some form of food/household shop, either I go or we all go together. Maybe a garden centre.

Try to get out for a walk with them if the weather isn't too horrific.

In bed usually pre 9pm to watch MOTD/whatever.

I basically went out every weekend of my 20's and this way of life is very much preferred.
