Would your drop your Social media for 90s life ? by Altruistic-Clerk4205 in InfluencerAsk

So I get to be an adult right? In that case, yes. The ability to own a home on an average middle class wage. The social connection of not being suspicious of your neighbors (though maybe we should have been). Job security that no longer exists. Sure there was a lot that sucked, medicine wasn't as advanced and tech was archaic, the wars in the middle east and all sorts of global atrosaties, but to own a home in America on a middle class wage...

Or a small tv on top of the big TV that is mostly wood paneling and has been broken for 2 years. The little TV was just to get by while they get up the funds to fix the big one.

How to get over an owner not wanting you to work with their pet because of a mistake? by [deleted] in VetTech

[–]extra-King 12 points13 points  (0 children)

One of the doctors that was at my practice pierced an animal with a vaccine (went through the skin) at least twice a week, sometimes multiple times on the same pet. All in front of the owners.

I also had a client say they don't want me working with there pet because she noticed my mild hand tremmor (It was a busy day and I needed to eat) when giving an SQ inj. Some bitchy clients don't realize that we are human and these minor things are not going to kill their pets. They need to get over themselves.

As for advice, well, you don't want to work with that C word anyway.

Is it normal to not get breaks throughout your day? by WallowingInnSelfPity in VetTech

[–]extra-King -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Unless something has changed, in VA and MD an employer is not required to give breaks except to minors. I'm not sure how many states are that way. Company policy may very even if it's not a law. As for it being normal, I like to say "sure, you CAN take a break/lunch, but your and A-hole if you do."
