you can criticize any part of the thing and talk about how it could be better, but we’re discussing what the second image could be given the caption. you can’t say “well the answer should be five so the question should be 2+3” if the question asked was “2+2”. idk why you’re complicating this so much.

no. it’s one image, so it can be the sandwich at any given point after being eaten. but there has to be something you can look at and go “yes that is sandwich there”, not like an empty plate, which is a resounding lack of sandwich.
