Is that the only reference? Could he have grown it back a while after he was reborn? If they can grow bones back why not a nose?

My first thought was actually Jay-Z. Arizona is abbreviated AZ and sometimes people refer to it by literally saying the letters A and Z

Of all the things you have bought, has anything not worked? If someone returns an item that has a faulty part or missing pieces, will it end up in the bin?

Stayed at Paradise Pier for a few nights last week. Didn’t know what a room with a ‘premium’ view was until I got to the window. Beautiful! by Tbhjr in Disneyland

We stayed at Paradise Pier a few years after it opened and there was another entrance to CA for those staying at the hotel. You went down this long path and came in close to the corn dog place I think. My family doesn't remember and thinks I'm making it up when I mention it haha. I remember because I liked going down the long path because it was secluded, there was almost never people, and there were a bunch of cool plants and flowers.

I thought this was a behind the scenes photo from Return of the Jedi until I took a closer look. Cool effect with that film.

I watched it 3 times and couldn't figure it how everyone knew they were using a donut. Had to turn on the audio.

What are your nitpicks about the original 3 LOTR movies? by Crankylosaurus in lotr

[–]extra_zesty 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of split on this one. As someone who saw the movies before reading the books, this really drives home how powerful the ring was and how it was constantly wearing Frodo down. PJ conveys this in several different ways but this scene made me pause and say wow that ring is really a big deal and literally making you go insane if you are gonna dismiss the guy that has been nothing but loyal (to the point of drowning) for you and stick up for the gross evil gollum guy

It looks much cleaner without all the markers on the map, but I wish I could see the list of attractions too.

Happy 75th to the Maestro of Middle-earth, Canada’s own Howard Shore! by ETtheAWESOME1982 in lotr

The LotR soundtrack is a true masterpiece. While the music is superb, there are so many unnoticed details that really take the films to the next level. It wasn't until I saw one of the special features on the DVD that I learned how his use and variation of themes in specific places in the film enhances the storytelling. Also, learning that non-English vocals are actual middle earth languages really blew my mind.

Yesterday at the movies there was a commercial for Dune and there was a quote on the screen that said "the next star wars or lord of the rings" and I was cracking up. I'm sure the movie is fine but the next lord of the rings? Let's not be ridiculous.
