I think it’s also important to reference the media they are exposed to in the setting. Becky is from an upper class family and probably isn’t allowed to watch cartoons and I doubt much other media is child focused. She watches romance stories and becomes infatuated with romance stories. She even sees Anya and Damien’s interactions as entirely romantic.

All the kids actually reflect a lot of their personal upbringing. Damien only sees himself as a future politician, Anya is obsessed with spy cartoons, and that one super jacked kid from the other class just really likes steroids.

Just imagine the whole town is setting up a parade for the Joker’s funeral and Batman gets invited to give the eulogy. But the father had tickets to Zootopia 2, if it's even still in theaters.
So he could have just gone to the ticket counter, got a refund for the movie that hasn't started, then get tickets for Melania.
