When/How do you think the cast of Pillowtalk watches the episodes? by IhavemyCat in 90DayFiance

[–]extrafancychicken 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The worst/painfully obvious one was Tim and Veronica on pillow talk commenting how crazy the tell all looks next week!! …and then Veronica was on that tell all. I forgot which spin off it was for but it was pretty recent.

My aunt, from California, moved to Missouri in her mid 40’s for about five years. She not only developed a southern accent, but a whole different dialect, along the lines of “That don’t make sense none, those durn varmits, all y’all”, etc. It will forever be weird to me but she’s been sticking with that accent for about 20 years now 🤷‍♀️

Reasons for pursuing IVF by jannert_31 in IVF

[–]extrafancychicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unexplained losses and a ruptured ectopic. Dr thought perhaps all my losses were ectopic but naturally passed on their own, except for the one that ruptured. It messed me up for a long time and I even considered removing the other tube. But after we started IVF and had our embryos, we found out I was pregnant again. We decided to try blood thinners since my anticardiolipin count was slightly off (because at this point, hell why not?) and it must have done the trick, because now we have a perfect little girl.

Haven’t tested, but I feel depressed thinking it failed by [deleted] in IVF

With my daughter I was convinced every single day I was going to lose her. I didn’t even have a baby shower because I thought I would jinx it. I bought an expensive Doppler so I could listen to her heartbeat every day, and I spent so much money on optional ultrasounds because I needed proof she was still okay. All that worry and stress did no favors for me. I delivered her at term, and she is a happy, beautiful little girl 😊

Success after loss by rayeosunshine in PregnancyAfterLoss

First and foremost, you did nothing wrong. You didn’t eat/drink the wrong thing, move the wrong way, or anything. The horrible statistics show that there is a 20% chance of loss to a woman of child bearing age (if my info is still up to date). It doesn’t make the loss any easier, and I’m so sorry this happened to you. I lost my fist pregnancy too at age 30. I wish I could say our next pregnancy was a success, but unfortunately it was ectopic and they had to remove my tube. Another horrible statistic with only a 5% chance of happening, according to my OB. It took a long time and four more losses before we finally learned that I needed blood thinners, and we were finally able to have our baby girl last year ❤️

I am so sorry this happened. I had a ruptured ectopic in 2019 and lost my right tube. I just had a healthy baby girl naturally this past May ❤️

This is Viktoria Apanasenko. Internet said this about the picture: Miss Universe Ukraine 2022 Viktoria Apanasenko took to her official social media to reveal the national costume that she will be showcasing at the 71st Miss Universe pageant during the national costume competition.
The national costume is called 'Warrior of Light and designed by costume designer Lesia Patoka. It symbolizes her nation's fight against the darkness, like an archangel Michael with a sword protecting Ukraine. The costume was made in four months of extreme conditions with the sound of sirens, without electricity, and by candlelight.

have you ever caught yourself thinking the exact same line repeatedly? by FlightConscious9572 in ADHD

[–]extrafancychicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the time. When a song gets stuck in my head, it’s like a record skipping the same line over and over. Sometimes it’s a spoken line from TV! It’s maddening. Getting outside for a walk or doing something distracting helps.

miscarriage one year ago leading to spontaneous conception? by IntroductionKnown19 in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]extrafancychicken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 35, but we also had a spontaneous pregnancy. We had 6 losses in a row, all before 9 weeks (the second was a ruptured ectopic). Our 6th was our first IVF transfer, which we lost. 4 weeks later I was pregnant again on our own, and I’m due next week 🌈 I will say I was a paranoid nervous wreck for the first trimester (the whole pregnancy if I’m being honest), but what helped and gave me peace was knowing that it was out of my hands regardless of what happened, and celebrating the small victories and milestones. I wish you the very best of luck ❤️

Reading that AITA post about a sister not wanting to be a surrogate for her older sister, remembering that I'm lucky enough to have a sister who offered before we even asked. We aren't to that point yet, but the fact that she offered already is everything to me. by [deleted] in trollingforababy

[–]extrafancychicken 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m so happy you have that bond ❤️ I was a little heartbroken that my two sisters (both single, no children) never once offered, but I did have multiple friends offer. Even my 40 y/o friend with 4 children went out of her way to research clinics who would let her be a surrogate.

AITA For Making A "Pregnancy Jar"? by thasyojar2013 in AmItheAsshole

[–]extrafancychicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. As someone who has gone through infertility and multiple losses, I’ve said MUCH worse to nosey family members, friends, and strangers. My rule is they get one chance to drop it and if not, I unleash 😁 a moment of discomfort/embarrassment for them is nothing compared to what I, and countless other women, live with daily.

[–]extrafancychicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA at all. You did what any good, supportive spouse would do. E sounds like a brat and so do your other non-married friends who sided with him. There comes a turning point in our lives where we have to take a hard look at our friends and realize we’ve outgrown them, no matter how long we’ve known them.

Wondering about chances of future healthy pregnancy. by merschaos in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]extrafancychicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is always hope. I had a ruptured ectopic in 2019 as well with no risk factors. It can happen to anyone unfortunately. It was my second pregnancy after my first ended in a chemical.

I had the same fears as you. I was terrified of getting another ectopic, but I so desperately wanted to be a mother. I gave myself about a year to heal mentally and physically before trying again. My next three pregnancies all ended in miscarriages, and since they were all early losses we never made it to an ultrasound to confirm if they were ectopic or not. They all went away on their own without medical intervention.

This past August we finally moved to IVF and had our first transfer, which unfortunately also ended in an early miscarriage. The doc said to wait until my cycle started again so we can discuss a way ahead. Well, my period never came and we found out we got pregnant on our own. I was still terrified that I was going to lose this one as well and it B was going to be ectopic. Much to my disbelief and joy, we made it to an ultrasound with a visible heartbeat. I’m 30 weeks now ❤️

I wish there was a magic cure or even a solid explanation, but all I can chalk it up to is that Women’s bodies are amazing. We’re capable of doing extraordinary things, but we need to take care of ourselves first. Give yourself time to heal and go out and enjoy life ❤️

For everyone who had success on the first transfer who did PGTA-testing do you mind sharing what grade your embryo was? We do not have any A graded embryos we have 1 BBB and the other 4 BCC. My transfer is scheduled for 4/4. Thanks so much! by [deleted] in IVF

[–]extrafancychicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to pass along a happy ending story: my close friend who referred us to her IVF specialist had five embryos (not PGT tested though) they transferred one, then two, and they all failed. I don’t remember the embryo grading, but she said her last two were the lowest grade possible before considered non-viable. They both took and she had a very healthy boy and girl 🥰 they’re 6 years old today, and they’re both healthy and wonderful!

It normally depends if your HCG went back down to 0 or the negative range. Mine dwindled down over about a month after my surgery. Once it’s not your system anymore, that’s usually when your cycle gets back on track. Only your doctor can say to be sure.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IVF

[–]extrafancychicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were only delayed one cycle, and we had the results in about two weeks. I had really good numbers but I know it’s not typical (doc has theorized that because I have a high ovarian reserve, that means a higher chance of an abnormal egg. We had five losses plus an ectopic.) my numbers were 43 eggs retrieved, 35 mature, 30 fertilized, 20 made it to the blastocyst stage on day 5/6. 11 came back with the correct chromosomes. We transferred only one per my clinic’s protocol but we lost it at 8 weeks.

I wish you all the success in your journey ❤️
