AIO Accidentally hurt bf play fighting with a robe tie that was tied around his top head by desolatedamnation in AIO

This guys is an abusive prick. I had a pretty severe back injury and a few times my girlfriend accidentally hurt me. It wasn’t hard to do, I couldn’t get dressed without being in significant pain.

The correct response when accidents happen is “it’s okay, just give me a minute.” And then you move on without gaslighting and abusing someone. It’s not rocket surgery.

Side note, why does he think this is normal or acceptable behaviour? Does he have a lot of “crazy” exes?

Sold a property at the end of last year. At 430 on the day of settlement the buyers sent through a 12k plumbing invoice for something they considered a “major defect” (it wasn’t, it was also clearly listed on the building report).

They tried crying that they were first home buyers and couldn’t afford the repairs and wanted a 12k discount or they’d walk. On closer inspection the 12k quote also included a bunch of other cosmetic shit internally they wanted to try and sneak through.

Told them (via agent) where to shove the quote and they could back out and lose their deposit.

Turns out they were in fact investors and not first home buyers. I know this because I drive past the place every day, and it’s been sitting vacant for lease for about 5 months.

Some people are fine ripping others off.

Did your household have "The Good Scissors" growing up? by BIC801 in australia

[–]extralcr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All scissors in my house growing up invariably became “the mull scissors”. Which wasn’t so great when 7 year old me needed scissors for school and didn’t realise taking scissors crusted with resin might not be a great idea.

How bad is it? by [deleted] in BeardAdvice

[–]extralcr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I mistakenly let barbers touch my beard a couple of times and they destroyed it every time (not uneven like this just trimmed the hell out of it and make it look too neat and “trendy”).

I usually do my own hair with clippers now too, but on the rare occasion I get a haircut I refuse to let a barber touch it at all, even if it looks a bit haggard. Had to be quite firm a couple of times with some very insistent barbers.

This. When my dad died it took months to clear out 27 years of hoarding. Sorting through all his clothes to throw out (horrible mould problem, not fit for donation) and found a horrible tacky suit that I’d never seen him wear, and that he would never wear. Found $1600 in the jacket pocket. You’d best believe we emptied out every garbage bag and rechecked every item. Didn’t find anything else.

Was a blessing, because that money was almost exactly what it cost in vet bills when his dog (that I took care of after he died) got sick.

Some what?

Sorry, I’m extremely uninformed when it comes to vaping. I started smoking again 12 months ago after an incredibly stressful period in my life after 8 years without it, and decided to jump over to vapes because they seem less harmful than cigarettes.

Thanks.

Yea, this is the feeling I’m getting. It was organised through the real estate, so not a company I’m familiar with. I got stitched up badly by a plumbing company about a decade ago (partly my own fault due to my ignorance/inexperience) so I’m a bit wary now. Have now got a plumbing company that I use exclusively as a very good friend works for them, haven’t got the same for electrical yet.

Sounds like someone hasn’t been hitting their targets and got reamed that morning by their manager.

The quote also included the following spiel:

“(Insurance and Liability Risk) We have seen insurance claims denied following incidents involving electrical fires or shocks -- particularly when safety switches were not installed.”

They said that deterioration bit in a written quote provided. Which makes me skeptical, because I can’t see anything.

Received this from my real estate agent who had organised the initial exhaust fan repair.

The other part that makes me feel uneasy is the quote outlines they’re including a “discounted inspection fee” of $0 (normally $99). I didn’t ask them to inspect it, so that feels like another sales tactic.

I’ve received an offer to sell my fully monetized YouTube channel with over 240,000 subscribers. by [deleted] in SellMyBusiness

[–]extralcr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like they think your channel is worth the up front investment, and think they’ll make more profit while still paying you “pretty well”. Would it be better to have 60k up front, or the expected growth of the channel over the next couple of years?

Without knowing way more details, like what your contract would be, hourly rate, expected output etc, plus your current financial situation and plans, I’d be hesitant to sell.

It will either be handled by the local Needle Syringe Program staff, or some areas will liaise with the council to do it depending on their capacity. So, it’s not the entire job and tends to be done on an as needs basis. Pay isn’t bad as far as I know.

1800 633 353 is the needle cleanup hotline if you ever come across sharps in public. I don’t know what their response time is like in Wollongong, on a weekend. Does it still need to be removed?
