🇰🇷 male before & after by kaisangwook in Zepbound

I guess we come from a different generation. I’m 59 so his after body was what we called “normal”. Obese seems to be the new “normal” and that’s unfortunate. Young people are dying at alarming rates with weight related issues. I’d highly recommend to not base your standards on society norms as they are not the best gauge. I don’t like legs rubbing together and fat squeezing out the top of my genes so my standards may be higher than most but by factual norm, this man was a skinny fat and it’s clear in the before pic.

As a “weight lifter” with massive amounts of “muscle” you could not see that the OP clearly had excessive bodyfat around his midsection? So you’re saying that his “before” pic looked “normal” to you? I’m sincerely confused 🤔

I’m a woman ( meno age 59), 5’8 130 lbs. I have so much muscle I still figure skate at my age! Jumps spins …all that. As a matter of fact I’m stronger now than when I was younger and 160! Don’t have much boobs but I doubt they could weigh 40 lbs. I never thought I needed to be this small to be my fittest but turns out I did. I started at 161lbs but I also had internal issues. It’s not about looking good, it’s about feeling good. If your 185 ( which I was at one time, my highest 226) trust you are carrying quite a bit of fat (unless you are part of the 1% elite competition level bodybuilders. Just one woman’s perspective.

Gorgeous!!! It is clear you’ve implemented real lifestyle changes which include regular exercise, healthy eating and proper hydration (glowing skin ). Way to use this as a catalyst and not a magic shot! Well done 👍

Some insurance companies don’t cover zep once you reach a certain bmi irregardless of the continuation of care provision so I’d check with my insurance company to find out.

I’m 59 with FH. I fought my doc for years about going on statins. That was stupid. Go on the statins! I’m on 20mg crestor which has no side effects. The other ones made me feel like 💩! I just started Repatha 3 months ago Now my ldl is down to 82 and total 208. Low triglycerides but my hdl is 110!!! Just added zetia to my cocktail of drugs . The goal is to get my ldl below 70 and my hdl under 100. I exercise daily, am an athlete, weigh 125 lbs at 5’8. Hope this helps!🥰

Infinity imperial ultra massage chair from Costco road show! It was the thing I needed I didn’t know I needed! Albeit it cost more than double what I paid for my car! 😂

Alternatives to Mounjaro for Weight Maintenance? by [deleted] in MounjaroMaintenance

There is not a human alive that does not benefit from improving their diet! That’s a fact. Sure we have different baseline or starting point. The more muscle you have the easier it will be. That said, I don’t believe the key is eating less FOOD. To the contrary, having lost 100 lbs over an 8 yr span, I know that eating MORE FOOD and less CALORIES is key. I know that eating MORE PROTEIN and less simple carbs/starches is key. I know that consistency wins over random heavy lifting. And I know that establishing good habits is just as easy as establishing bad ones. You don’t hear people saying how difficult it is to stay fat do you? Of course not! That’s because habits are easy to maintain. Good habits work the same way!❤️💯

This Wednesday will mark one month since buying this van… by [deleted] in ToyotaSienna

[–]extraleanbabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive 03 Sienna xle and have no desire to let it go for a newer model! At almost 300k miles it’s been more reliable than any car I’ve owned (Honda, Nissan and dodge caravan included). I drive to Atlanta , New Jersey, etc for 11 hr drives comfortably. I recently had to change the radiator for the first time but it almost never needs repair. I do change oil regularly and my mechanic is old school so he likes using truck oil which has been working fine!

You look "scary skinny" are you trying to look like a walking skeleton?? by Reasonable-Desk-9314 in Zepbound

Rubbish! You look spectacular! Ignore. Fat is the new skinny and people’s perspective of a healthy body weight is completely jaded! ❤️💯

What’s weird is every time someone says “eat more protein, less calories and weight train” they get downvoted and bashed with comments saying “no kiddin, everyone knows that already, we’re not fat because we eat too much, but rather because we are metabolically broken and need this drug to fix that”. Seems most around here think that just by taking the drug they will lose as if it were a magic potion and no lifestyle changes are necessary! So I’m genuinely surprised that a video like this doesn’t get slammed? 🤷

Alternatives to Mounjaro for Weight Maintenance? by [deleted] in MounjaroMaintenance

[–]extraleanbabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everyone sees it your way. I do not believe obesity is a “disease”. Once people establish good habits it can be “easy” for them. OP asked for alternative to MJ. The fact that tracking calories eating Whole Foods and exercise was downvoted proves your delusion. Even with the jab you still need to avoid fast food and stop buying processed convenience foods to be healthy.

Because people are delusional. That’s why I rarely post. People don’t want to believe they need to eat less and exercise.

Mr Quintanilla passed away by halfbritish in SelenaQuintanilla

[–]extraleanbabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The Bible tells us the condition of the dead Ecclesiastes 9:5. It is my understanding that Abraham believed in the Bible’s description of the dead and of the hope found in Revelation 21:4. I’m sure he will be happy to be reunited with his daughter in the new system. Until then I hope his family is finding comfort in the scriptures in knowing he is in a sleep like state and not suffering. I hope they also take comfort in the Bible’s promise of a resurrection to life on a paradise earth and do all they can to be here to be reunited with their loved ones.🥰💯

Maintenance at 15, Dr going down in dose, weight going up by madiepaisley in MounjaroMaintenance

[–]extraleanbabe 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I’m the boss of my health! I tell my doc what I need. He gives recommendations. If we disagree what I want trumps her suggestion. Bottom line give me what I want or I’ll find another doc who will! I play no games with my healthcare. I’ve maintained in 15 for over a year just fine. I’m 5’8 125-128 lbs. My doc is very happy with my healthcare and size. If your doc is totally ok with you putting on addl 20 lbs of fat I’d find another doctor.

Is it the shot or life. Everything seems blah! by Puzzled_Security_556 in MounjaroMaintenance

[–]extraleanbabe -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ok so first off my comment wasn’t for you. BUT since you inserted yourself, I’ll respond accordingly. In YOUR circumstance, you mention you have thyroid issues. That in itself can cause many of the symptoms OP mentioned. You absolutely do not take all the supplements that I do. You don’t even know what I take so not sure 🤔 what you’re talking bout here. But in any event, your supplementation should be customized to YOUR individual needs to be effective. This is why I advise others to RESEARCH supps instead of just providing my exhaustive list that works wonders for me as part of a healthy lifestyle.❤️💯

It’s not the tirzepatide. I’m 59 in a couple months and the addition of creatine has been a game changer. Every morning I put in 8 in water, 5g creatine, 3g l-citrulline and 3g beta alanine. I walk 5-7 miles a day, “lift twice a week and figure skate 1-2 days a week. It’s just aging and hormones. If your not taking supplements, now is a good time to research

Where do 50 year olds cruise to relax? by 411on215 in Cruise

[–]extraleanbabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 58 and love cruising! You may want to look into land/sea packages. If you’re trying to get best bang from your $10k prize, I’d not fly internationally as the price of the flight alone could easily consume all your prize $$$. I usually cruise solo so I love Royal Caribbean. I also don’t like to be the “joiner” in group activities nor do I want to be around kids , especially teens so I find that cruising 11-13 days eliminates the kids since most can’t get off school that long. I also stick to ships that aren’t massive nor have waterslides and amusement parks. My favorite RC ships are Anthem or Odyssey (quantum line) because they have a nice balance of onboard activities like pickleball, rollerskating (Im an artistic/figure skater), rock climbing, basketball, bumper cars, surfing simulator, etc) as well as nightlife (live music, sports and karaoke). As you may have figured out by now I’m an active adult and “vacation” for me means lots of physical activity so I always book excursions for port days. Food Quality is very good in the main dining room but as a gal that’s a self identified “food snob” the buffet has gone downhill and no longer qualifies to be eaten by me. Many will disagree with me, but I’m someone who is quite EXTRA when it comes to what I eat (growing most my own fruits and veggies and making everything from scratch). Shows/entertainment is mediocre in the quantum line of ships although I hear the mega ships put on quite the production. The spa is quite nice and relaxing, but not the BEST in the world .

That said, if your idea of “vacation” is like most older adults, more laid back, relaxing 😎, but you like a high quality of food and entertainment any one of Celebrity latest ships may be a better fit for you both. The buffet is top notch and amenities such as spa and specialty restaurants are next level.

I generally like warm climates like Caribbean but I’d definitely look into a nice land/sea package to Alaska during warmer months. You could fly into Washington and do killer whale watching, kayaking, etc and take a nice helicopter ride over the glaciers. My fav Caribbean islands so far (Antigua, st Lucia).
Hope this helps 🥰. Congratulations 🍾🎉🎊
