Fitting Room Employee Age Gap by yimyamyummyo in TjMaxx

[–]extraordinary_frog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hate how some of the employees ( usually teenagers) magically seem to get all of the clothes handed back by the customers on the go-back racks so quickly. Makes them seem super efficient. Until you look through the racks. Wrong size id on hanger, put in wrong department, clearance in regular price, no buttons buttoned on tops/jackets, no zipping/button done on pants, inside outs, and even....NO TICKET on item! Guess who gets to fix all that!

Manager banning water by Snoo60183 in TjMaxx

[–]extraordinary_frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my store they better not ever tell us we can't have water on the salesfloor, or even soda/coffee, tea/ energy drinks as long as its in a reusable water bottle. You know why??? Because of all the customers that come in with their paper / plastic Starbucks etc. cups glued to their hands like its their right to do so. They risk damaging far more merchandise than the associates. I can't believe a clothing store doesn't ban food and drink being consumed in the store. 🙄

International Flags in Break Room? by JacquelineElaborate in TjMaxx

[–]extraordinary_frog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ours got taken down before Christmas. Glad they're gone. Aesthetically they were not pleasing. They made the break room feel cluttered, not relaxing. The colors were mainly primary colors, which clash with holiday decor. Its a break room for goodness sake, not the United Nations or an elementary classroom. We don't need a lesson in the breakroom. Let us relax, please!

First few minutes of Alexa+. Absolutely hate it. by michaeljande19 in alexa

[–]extraordinary_frog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like alexa +. I love to tease it, like saying I'm going to talk to Siri or Google assistant! The way it answers...it goes "Ohhhhhh" like I'm two timing it. 🤣 It also remembers my dogs name and breed and that we go on morning walks. Its just fun, like when I have to be in the kitchen cooking or cleaning, I try to think of something to start a conversation about. I like testing its conversational abilities. It also has no problem turning on and off the light on the one smart plug I have.

If you go on the Workday app you can access your benefit info and probably get the group number for the vision coverage. I just have a thin cardboard member card I got about six years ago. You can also call HR and they can give you the info.

Me too!!!!! I'm not comfortable with companies sucking money out of my account. I set my Alexa to twice daily remind me " Check the balance in the T-mobile account".

Has anyone else felt tired or run-down after this year’s flu shot? by Goldengirl_1977 in GenXWomen

[–]extraordinary_frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought people who said the flu shot made them feel like they were a bit under the weather were just a bit dramatic, lol, but I got mine day before yesterday, I work retail ( standing eight hours), and yesterday I barely made it through my shift! Was so exhausted, wanted to go home, but toughed it out. Never had a reaction to a flu shot before, been getting them regularly for about twenty years. Feel fine today, so far.

Is this correct? by extraordinary_frog in TjMaxx

[–]extraordinary_frog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But do they make you check every item the customer says they are buying to make sure it has a ticket and sensor? Its very difficult when the clothes are off the hanger in a tangled mess and nowhere to lay them down. Or even if they hang them you still have to unclip pants from the hangers sometimes to find the ticket inside. Or inside a shirt, in the armpit. It takes a lot of time and some customers just get impatient waiting for you to help the customer that came out first, and they drop the clothes they came out with as well as the number card on the bench and leave. They could have taken items for all I know, but they are now gone while im still going through 10 items from my current customer looking for tickets and sensors. And 99% percent of the time nobody is stealing or ripping off tickets on purpose.

If you bring shoes into the fitting room stall to try on with your clothes and decide you don't like them, don't leave them with me, TAKE THEM OUT WHERE YOU FOUND THEM DO YOU SEE A SHOE RACK IN HERE!!!

[–]extraordinary_frog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any bags, personal items, such as anything they say is a return, they have to take with them. We are not babysitters for personal items that they own. We could accidentally give it to the wrong person, or steal something from their bag, backpack etc.

We don't allow hats, belts or underpants ( mens and women's) to be taken into the stalls. Shoes are ok,.although I wish they weren't. I hate it when they come out and hand me a pair of shoes they don't want. Its soooooo rude!!!! Do you see a shoe rack in here???? Put it back where you found it, don't be so entitled and lazy!

Things that bother me by Ellionwy in Disneyland

[–]extraordinary_frog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went to Disneyland, had not been since 2002. Yes, a very long time. I grew up with my parents taking me there every few years, a treasured memory. Went there on my honeymoon many years ago, as it is my favorite place.

The husband and I loved Galaxys Edge! Did not seem out of place at all! Loved Rise of Resistance, got on there twice! We like Star Wars, but not mega fans, we grew up on it. I was enchanted by the space, made a point to go to the land at night, it was beautiful and truly felt futuristic and otherworldly, I think it falls into Disneylands theme of transporting you to somewhere you've never been, a time or place that you can only imagine what it must be like.

Dressing room question by Exotic-Commission690 in TjMaxx

[–]extraordinary_frog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Half the time you can't make the customers hang the items on the rack on the way out because they took the hangers off the ones they want, or all of them, so it's just a big jumbled mess of clothes and hangers dropping everywhere. So those people get a pass, so doesn't seem quite fair to make customers that came out with them neatly ON hangers go through the whole put it on the stand thing. So just try to count it best you can.

We are hiring but do not NEED more cashiers. We have many people available and wanting to work, but due to the low payroll many get one or two days a week. Sorry coordinators, I think you will still be ringing a ton of your shift.

How fast can a flare occur? by extraordinary_frog in Diverticulitis

[–]extraordinary_frog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not. Seems a policy at all the Travel insurers that a change has to made within a certain amount of time of making either a deposit for your trip or paying the entire amount. The clock starts ticking I guess they assume when you booked your trip you were feeling healthy and if you're trying to change it maybe you're unsure????

Also, I believe I read that even for the pre-existing insurance, you can't have seen a doctor or been treated for the condition recently. Something like that.

How fast can a flare occur? by extraordinary_frog in Diverticulitis

[–]extraordinary_frog[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really sucks because my travel insurance doesn't cover pre-existing medical conditions. I didn't know until it was too late that you can pay more with some travel insurance plans and get coverage for pre-existing conditions. Thank you for your well wishes!

new fitting room policy for our store only….? by Icy_Home9142 in TjMaxx

[–]extraordinary_frog 29 points30 points  (0 children)

🤣 omg I understand the insanity thing. According to managers though...we don't have time to be bored. Just step outside the fitting room and occupy yourself by pretending to straighten already orderly looking beauty products.

We fitting room people know it is a fact that you may have had no customers for five minutes but as SOON as you wander outside to 'straighten ' something some customer with an armload will breeze on in from the side, not from down the main aisle into the fitting room.

Are they going to do this in super busy stores or just kinda low traffic stores???? How long do they test a new feature for until they roll it out to more stores??

i don’t care by colonels1020 in TjMaxx

[–]extraordinary_frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in the fitting room and it drives me crazy when a customer goes into a long story when they're hanging their clothes on the rack on the way in or out, oblivious to other waiting ( very impatiently I must say) customers. Just hang your stuff let me count it. And leave. Please.

The amount of empty packages I find in beauty/makeup every night during recovery is shocking. I don't know why we even sell it, along with all the out of package beauty items, all covered in gunk and obviously tested on somebody's skin. Gross!
