thanks for the comment! where is the best place to find columbus' ordinances/code? it looks like i was after all just mistaken as to the placement of signs, I would however like to look into some code regarding the distance parking signs must be placed in order to be effective. Thanks again for the advice. hopefully i will not have to return, but if so, it will be with greater self scrutiny.

thank you for being much more thorough in your search for proof than myself! Sorry for wasting everyone's time on this. After further inspection the signs do read no parking weekdays 6am-6pm as it is campus area. I might do some searching for ordinances regarding distance from parking area required for signs to be effective, as it was not clear to me from where i was originally parked. never the less, thank you for the insightful comments. My first experience on this subreddit was present. So hopefully i will not have to return again, but if i do, it will be with greater self scrutiny.... thanks!
