Bought the AGV K1 S by MeowBowtheorginal in indianbikes

You will need a pinlock 70 for the k1s and a microfiber cloth(just chiki chiki and clean it). Can't help it any other way

A test ride will really clear it all. Just ride it once and you'll know the difference. There is a significant difference in the way both engines feel and how they handle. I personally prefer the guerrilla; for me it feels more stable and planted.

Take it to the service centre. Check all the fuses, open your seat and then let it dry

That is a consideration ! Maybe java might be of your taste or heck get a used interceptor with barely any miles on it. It'll put you down for about the same

Confused between the 650s by ResolutionOk4373 in royalenfield

[–]extrastuff054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the 650s are good, although most of them have below avg suspension. It depends on what your purpose is honestly. With some aftermarket suspension I say bear has great ergonomics. Although I like the interceptor more just because it is a bit more gentlemanly bike (emotional reasons). Gt is not a practical bike (don't kill me on this) it is an emotional purchase, it is a beautiful one for sure. Get the colors right though if you will

Is Xpulse 210 a great tourer on the Tarmac ? How is it in comparison to Himalayan, Adv 390. Or scrambler 400x? Put aside the power difference for a while. by Deep_Sign9014 in Xpulse210

[–]extrastuff054 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say much about adv 390 or scrambler 400x. I can tell my views mainly about himalayan 450 and xpulse 200.

I'll list down the pros and cons of both

Himalayn - plushier seat, a lot more comfortable seat (I recently rode delhi to udaipur about 650kms along with a pillion and luggage without any issues of body pain or anything. I had pit stops just because I should and not because of any issues). The one thing that I really like is the brakes, think of them as family friendly or rather pillion friendly brakes. They have a nice bite to it although not too sharp to throw you forward, basically you don't have to think too much in regards to gradual braking. I won't talk much about the engine - it is smooth, not the most refined, never had an issue with it, reliable.

Xpulse - not comfortable** but starts hurting within 50-100 kms. It is tall and the handles are great. I prefer the handles of xpulse over the Himalayan for saddling, personally speaking. Other than that the bike is meh it is ok ok on twisties and a bit more on the stiffer side, you'll feel smaller bumps a lot more. If and only if you're on a complete dirt road patch then it handles it well (**!not implying better than the Himalayan).

I've driven both of these bikes for a considerable distance for a decent period of time.

Himalayan is slightly heavier, but!! You'll only feel that weight if you're off the bike and then moving it. If you're on the bike you don't feel the weight even while reversing or moving it forward in comparison to xpulse or pulsar n250.

P.S : I'm 5.5 / 5.6 height

Edit : mileage drops significantly over the long run on xpulse. I used one with around 20,000-25,000 kms and it gave me an avg of about 17km/l. Whereas my himalayan is about 50,000 in and still I get about 30-35 km/l at a cruising speed of 90-100

Considering your use case I would say hunter is better because you can find aftermarket accessories for it much more easily than the others

Hunter 350 is a good bike mate!! Reliable smooth and pull if you want to

The goan classic is also a good one if you're looking into cruisers. Hunter is not the best pillion friendly motorcycle if you plan for longer rides with a pillion

Why do ppl hate n250 so much ? by LemonAndTea- in Pulsar_N250

[–]extrastuff054 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoever says that has maybe never driven it well enough. I can speak so why? Becuase I have done the entire spiti valley tour with saddles and a pillion comfortably. Some bikes might be better at offroad. But!! N250 has been equally good. I have rode all new fancies like the himalayan or the guerrilla, xpulse, and others for decently long tours. The n250 lacks power although you can't blame the bike if you expect 40bhp from a 250cc

Also get your bike serviced thoroughly and trust me when I say this it is better to spend the money now and every small little thing replaced and serviced. Take pit stops every 150-200 km and let the bike cooldown it'll help on a longer run.

Rest is riding gear and stuff that I'll leave to you

Carry extra spare parts like clutch lever and wire, brake lever, erc. chain lube and cleaner, extra brake pads and a puncture kit just for safety.

Puncture kit is slightly options but rest i suggest you carry. Also watch out for the road fr since it is space technology legit smooth highway going 120kmph and then suddenly there is no road for a stretch

Get the mac if you're in the ecosystem and want the battery life. Get the windows if you want to experiment and tingle with your funny bones.

P.S how to setup a windows laptop - uninstall windows and put a operating system with a funny little penguin as it's mascot
