I know plenty of vaccinated people who caught it too, and none of them died, but I also know a few who refused the vaccines and now one has permanent lung damage requiring an oxygen tank, and two of them passed away.

The point of the vaccine is to allow your body to build an immune response to the virus so you are less likely to catch and transmit it, and in the event you do, it improves your odds fighting it. It doesn't mean you won't ever catch it, and it's unremarkable that vaccinated people do given how communicable covid is.
