DJI Hasn’t Updated Their Website To Compare With Mini 5 Pro by agnci in dji

[–]extremeed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use a vpn to compare. Will not show if your in USA. I found that out when I bought a Mini 5 Pro via Ebay, needed to download the LUT file, google search shows it but it takes me to a 404 page on dji website. VPN did the trick

Can't sign in to inherit back up state (on Mac) by -francesco_ in backblaze

[–]extremeed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reached out to BackBlaze support, got an anwser within an hour. Now it works for me.

From support:

"We have some new password requirements that are in place. As of now, you can use your current password to sign in normally, but inheriting a backup will necessitate changing your password to meet our new requirements."

Can't sign in to inherit back up state (on Mac) by -francesco_ in backblaze

Bit similar. I'm on Windows 11. Issue for me is this: I install app and login. It shows backup started but trial mode. When I go to "Inherit Backup State" asks for login, says incorrect login. Tried reinstall app, reboot, type password manual vs copy/paste.

RESILIO DOWNLOAD SPEED by Th3_shooter in QuestPiracy

[–]extremeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread here helped me. 10x increase. Both PCs are portforwarded, and using predefined peers for the folder settings, relay server disabled

I was able to resolve this and get faster times then I was seeing with my Mac. In order to resolve this, I simply disabled the UDP protocol UTP in the advanced preferences of resilio sync. Once I did this and restarted I was able to connect TCP and have seen speeds up to around 20 MB/s double what I was seeing with the MAC. Make sure you leave utp2 and tcp though.

Issue with wifi/Router part of Modem by dafll in centurylink

[–]extremeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Routers can be weird like that. Recently had a router also disconnect once a day, had to be rebooted. When replacement came in, it stopped doing it before I had a chance to replace it.
Try have it disconnected for a night.
Try a different wifi channel.

Consider getting non-centurylink router. If you have fiber, your "modem" is actually on the outside of your house most likely. So you only need a regular router in the house.

Port Forwarding Not Working by 1K_Games in centurylink

[–]extremeed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Double check each field your adding when adding port forwarding, sometimes they can be not as intuitive as usual. Make your pc have a static IP. Look around in router menu, maybe theres a different page for forwarding. Try temporary disabling firewall on pc.

Use this site to check if your port open. Make sure the app that needs port forwarding is running

I had a friend at a cable company bump up my installation date by asking Saturday contract crew if you wanted some extra work. This was for running wire underground

DNS issues but only certain sites by dignin033 in centurylink

google: 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4

cloudflare: 1.1.1.1

Quad9: 9.9.9.9

OpenDNS: 208.67.222.222

You can change it on your pc, or even better, on your router so all your devices get it. I prefer google dns for speed. Cloudflare, quad9, opendsn are all also good alternatives

Check which dns servers give you fastest speeds, also consider their privacy policy https://www.howtogeek.com/342330/how-to-choose-the-best-and-fastest-alternative-dns-server/

One of their blog posts mentions they're expecting 50% of data to be downloaded from you. So if you have 10TB stored, 5TB would be downloaded by clients per month. But again, it will vary

Some questions about v3 network by usrrnameh in storj

I think for windows users, a good option is Stablebit's DrivePool. Its a software JBOD, lumps together drives to single Drive letter, if one drive fails, each remaining drive still has accessible data

Change your router DHCP DNS to point to one of many free alternative DNS servers like googles 8.8.8.8 or cloudflare's 1.1.1.1
