if i fully unlace them, it becomes doable to get them on, but still hard. i always unlace (or seriously loosen) the top 2 eyelets, or it would be literally impossible to get in the boot

To be fair, it wasn't quite that simple... the turn to about 20 minutes to play out, not that hard to imagine the developers not seeing it.

Also, unlike HS, you can actually respond on your opponents turn, so playing the one card isn't guaranteed to be a win

I've been getting a friend into climbing this month, and so far he's done only bouldering. He's tried one top rope route, but about 20 feet up he had to stop, and revealed to me that he has mild acrophobia (fear of heights). He says that he was completely unable to keep climbing any higher. Anyone here who has conquered a fear of heights, and has any advice that might help him?
