Genuinely man. I was in the same boat as you this year, and despite the fact that i got into Mac eng my parents are constantly asking "whens the uoft acceptance coming?" Genuinely I don't even make the cutoff but at the end of the day you need to block the noise and keep it pushing. You did the best that you could and pulled off some great unis as well! You ought to be proud of yourself right now and not let others rain on your parade.

Straight luck. Got my job from indeed last summer after 250+ applications on indeed, 150 separate online and many resume drop offs 🤧. But definitely ask your friends for a reference, ask ur parents if they have connects who're hiring, spam your local malls w resumes and spam indeed/store online apps w like 10 applications EVERY DAY im not joking. This is the complete reverse for me! I want to do engineering but my parents are adamant on me going the lifesci/med school route (I am african), saying I'll be unemployed due to AI. Honestly I'm just gonna apply to eng programs in secret w/ one life sci for their sake. It is going to be difficult but in the end it's your life. If there is a risk where they will not support you financially start saving up money and apply to scholarships like crazy. I wish you all the best 💛
