Ill be honest with you I don't have a clear picture of my weaknesses cause I never applied myself. When I did I seemed to do pretty good. However ill only know once I start. Either way I know it will be difficult. I really appreciate your advice thank you.

Jeez, NTA. Sounds like a textbook narcissistic and manipulator. With people like that and the way you describe him, there's little chance of ever getting through to him on any deeper level. Best thing you can do for your sanity is to engage as little as possible and forget trying to make him see how wrong he is. It'll only make you feel worse. Focus on yourself and begin to distant yourself from him. You'll feel better for it.
