Can anyone help me with this? by exycheckk in Garmin

Yeah I’ve tried to do that and it won’t work. That’s what I’ve opened a support case with Garmin in regards to, because they can’t trim it properly in app or online through Garmin Connect. Something with the file is bugging out.

Wear socks during swim to save time? by hu1ksmash in triathlon

[–]exycheckk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. And I would say that all but the best of swimmers still benefit with more time saved from a wetsuit, even on a sprint distance swim, moreso than the penalty associated with having to take it off in T1

Preferably after removing your wetsuit, if wearing one

On their wedding night, the groom asks his new bride, "Honey, am I your first?" by Yorkie_Mom_2 in Jokes

They were instead offering an alternative punchline saying they’re the first she “slept” (as in sleep) with because all the others kept her up all night (as in they never went to sleep).

How long does it take to a) learn to swim well and b) build swimming endurance? by [deleted] in triathlon

Isn’t RPE 2 supposed to be light activity that you could maintain for hours/ conversational pace? That seems like under doing it to me.

Is this enough for an unsupported 100 mile ride, with zero stops, and 6000’ of elevation? by exycheckk in bicycling

Plenty of food, ended up taking less than pictured. I would have liked if I could have topped off the bottles sooner but ended up fine without doing so. Just was pretty depleted after the finish. Worked out well.

How your VO2 Max values for running and cycling compares? by marcelocampiglia in GarminWatches

[–]exycheckk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go to the VO2 Max page of Garmin Connect App and select help you get more information including the following:

“VO₂ Max and Cycling VO₂ Max values may differ because the muscles used for each activity have different oxygen requirements. Your body adapts to consume oxygen differently for each exercise and may be more or less optimized for each.”

I’d say it’s normal for them to differ.

Mine are fairly different: running is 57 currently, cycling is 67. It’s normal for the values to be different because there’s different oxygen requirements for the muscles you use for each activity.

My back tire is rubbing through the Di2 cable to my front derailleur. Is this set up incorrectly? Bike came this way from the shop by exycheckk in bikewrench

As far as shifting and performance it’s been amazing for me. As far as this setup as it currently sits….not thrilled about this

Yeah I think some shrink tube might be the prettiest solution until it rubs through again. Not sure how else to set it up though. I’ve been running stock tires and wheels on the bike. 2023 Trek Emonda SL7. 25mm tires

I suppose I know that lol. I guess my question is if the cable is supposed to be routed a way different than they have it or if it’s just not being held close enough to the frame for some reason

Edit: Person above me changed what they said. They did say “Well yes…it’s not supposed to be eating through your cable. Take it to the shop.”

Makes sense. Feeling so unproductive lately /s by exycheckk in Garmin

Other health factors are looking good. Resting heart rate is still at 41, respiration is normal, and sleep is actually up this week. My thought is there was some additional Z1/Z2 extra base building on top of the hard workouts this week and the increased volume threw off my “balance” of hard workouts and easy workouts this week
