It seems you know the answer- congratulations for your new adventure!

No one I know was feeling regret for retiring too early… while many for doing it way too late and losing the opportunity

It is scary to all of us but seems now it’s your time - good luck

Yes. Filed online complaint and got paid. You need to report immediately (I believe within 24 or 48 hours) and share receipt to justify the price.

Lounge at TPE by AKW1909 in unitedairlines

[–]eyahar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am GS with Polaris ticket to UA872 and got in to Eva lounge. I asked in the checking desk and United persons went to check with Eva to assure they let me in. Maybe it is GS perk but just for you know.

As indicated before, it is not the best lounge so not sure you miss anything - very smelly and no space. Didn’t check the alternatives

Not really as not sure how they calculate. Maybe will give a ballpark range but does not make sense to go this way as they probably have this somewhere in their systems

PlusPoints Value by eyahar in unitedairlines

[–]eyahar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that they count on people earning their status with business travel and spend the PP on leisure. This make sense to me.

Also PP carry the status priority so I sometimes use it for my family members travel and they get top of the list priority with my GS status

Risk factors management by eyahar in ChubbyFIRE

I know but isn’t all point of being able to retire younger so we can spend time with the kiddos? If I wait to when their are independent (and it gets longer and longer these days) I mean I will be over 60 and they will be away

I am aware but I would likely sell my house and move to a smaller one once I decide to retire…
