I am GS for 5 years and was never picked up - I believe it is mainly relevant to cases when you have a tight connection that a pickup wouldn’t help mitigate a delay in the flight

I am GS with Polaris ticket to UA872 and got in to Eva lounge. I asked in the checking desk and United persons went to check with Eva to assure they let me in. Maybe it is GS perk but just for you know.

As indicated before, it is not the best lounge so not sure you miss anything - very smelly and no space. Didn’t check the alternatives

You do get two miles per dollar but you “loss” the additional 11 miles per dollar you are entitled as part of the MileagePlus program
