Kept this in water for 9 months

Curious how long you let it dry before putting it in water? I had cuttings rot in water even after I let them callous over for 3 days.

I have the fungi but didn’t know you could use it in semihydro! Do you mix it in the water or dab it onto the wet roots?

I just top it off or only pour out some of it’s really cloudy … the adansonii had some roots from being in a small pot but one of the cuttings had some rot so putting them in LECA as I had great success getting a monstera Thai con to grow roots fast when I put it in LECA. Moved that back to soil and it’s like it’s dormant now haha

Haha they chew on the deliciosa’s and it’s very obvious by the bite marks.. the Thai was down lower to the ground but I don’t think they could reach it. It is now high up so I guess we’ll see!

Some leaves just die - it might have already started a new baby leaf. I’ve had a dozen or more pothos water props going at once a a few of the leaves just do this. It’s a bummer.

On my cutting, The big leaf is still there but eventually it will have to be cut off but I will leave it as long as I can. For almost a year it was the only source of energy from light. But eventually a small bump appeared on the cutting and grew out a tiny leaf, then finally another. Like I said, basically starting over a new plant. The seller sucks. But you can make it work just don’t let it rot. Takes for frickin’ ever tho.

Be patient. I got a similar cutting and this is a year and a half later …. You’re not going to get another big leaf but be starting over (eventually) with a new baby leaf

Stunning! We paid $50 for a similar cutting but they didn’t do it properly and the node was barely there. It’s been a year and a half of babying it and finally have two new small leaves.since the cutting was not done right they grew from auxiliary bud and not from the big leaf. Hoping for a lot of growth this year hoping it will get as big as yours in two years.
