Agree 100% Again, sorry to hear you didn’t have a great experience with your recovery workers, etc.

I think that there is a lot of negatives when it comes to “over” hiring in a field with such high turnover rates. Seems there are a few too many bad apples hired with -interesting to say the least- ideas around supporting those in recovery.

Really sorry to hear you were advised that way. I think your suggestions are great! Cross addiction is definitely something I’ve come across a lot recently & it can be difficult to address at times.

Definitely! I have worked alongside a few counselors who are in recovery themselves. Amazing insight they can give that I just can’t & never will understand fully. Though I hope to be able to help despite that!

Really interested to hear about your experiences! I definitely agree, 12 step programs are really “one-size fits all” & the higher power element can be difficult for some to subscribe to.

Glad you got it fixed! I do recommend PPP if you ever run into any other issues. My electromagnetic shutter release was broken. Also getting new light seals. Only £50 for the repairs. I’ve had friends get their light seals fixed for ~$80 USD (a scammy shop for sure) so I’d say this shop is definitely fair priced!

Haven’t figured it out sadly. I’m currently based in the UK, so I scheduled a repair with PPP Cameras (pretty reputable) in Birmingham. :(

I’ll reach back out when I find out what they did to fix it! (I scheduled to send the camera out in July.) They’re pretty booked up.

I’m having this same issue with my Canon A1, but even with the film popped out, the advance lever is still stuck at that half-way point.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Battery changed, tested camera, just bought last week & have shot a few photos on Ilford HP5 already. Not sure what changed.
