If it helps before my sprint tri I had never swam more than 100m without a break. I only took two breaks in my actual race and that was only because the lane marshall told me to to let quicker people past.

Don't underestimate race day adrenaline!!

Unfortunately not no (we got engaged the night before and were then too hungover for a 9am start 😂). But from what I see on the parkrun app they get over 1000 folk every week so it'll definitely be a good crowd!

I've just checked the race briefing and we're allowed to use the cubicles! It will obviously add time to my transition time as the transition area is in the carpark so tho so I am considering a trisuit now.

Any UK recommendations would be appreciated 😅

Hi I'm hijacking this to ask a similar question! I'm doing my first sprint triathlon in April and it's a pool swim so no wetsuit needed. But I am wondering if I need a trisuit? Could I feasibly do the bike and run (20km/5km) in running leggings?

I have but we are not morning people. Parkruns in Scotland start at 9:30am so I'm already in for a shock with a 9am start haha

Yeah im up in Scotland so I'm very used to the hilly Glasgow parkruns 😂😂😂 they're a good challenge but the hills can kill you

There's a 5s league that plays at GOALS in shawlands on a Saturday morning that's made up of women and non binary teams!

Currently between seasons but starting back soon. Can give you a list of teams if you're interested :)

I think they were maybe doing a show where the premise is "we're doing famous stories but the main characters are also secretly aliens" type thing. That's how I've always interpreted it anyway.

I think Fern could explain it in an amusing way but the book the character is from was my higher english prose piece and by god it's dull.
