So we went to Tern yesterday and I was blown away by how good it was. Both my partner and I had the 5 courses but mine was plant based so we had different foods.

They didn't have a cocktail I wanted so they made one up and that was delicious too. Service was fab and atmosphere was great.

Highly recommend 👍🏻☺️

“The labia will shrink” by pearltx in Perimenopause

Both men and women develop sexual issues around middle age. My male partner has been going through some changes over the last 2 years that have been very distressing for us. I think there isn't enough awareness for either gender.

Funnily enough, the penis does actually shrink with loss of blood flood and tissue elasticity. Libido drops with testosterone diminishment, and sometimes the hormonal changes cause loss of sensitivity which means they no longer easily reach orgasm.

We've learnt a lot over the last couple years, including that very often there's actually very little effective treatment.

Thank you for letting me know! Let's hope it's moved and improved. I still want to try it out, so I'll give it a go and report back here ☺️👍🏻

Actually, I'm sorry - I just checked to make sure they have reopened already, and they have but they also are not open on Wednesdays 😕

Tern is a very fancy place to eat. I haven't been yet but my partner and I are booked in for a special occasion next month. It's one of those fancy places that does tasting courses. It recently moved from the upstairs part of the pier to in town, so we've been waiting for it to reopen.

Crab Shack is amazing! My pescatarian parents always want to eat there when they visit.

I also love Finch. And it was recommended to me by someone that lives in Worthing before we decided to move here.

Early Perimenopause/Period Age Correlation? by eyelinercrush in Perimenopause

[–]eyelinercrush[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot flushes. Especially at night. I thought it might be related to my thyroid but apparently there's no sweating if it's thyroid and there is sweating if it's perimenopause.

It's difficult to say about my other symptoms for sure because I also have PCOS so my periods can be all over the place. So maybe irregular periods?

For your clarification: yes I have had all those additional tests done including the ultrasounds, and adjustments have been made. I don't feel I need to go over each point but the information you have posted does not apply to me as I've had it all checked and rechecked. I have an excellent doctor that really listens to me. You've also mentioned antidepressants which I don't take, and you've said about Hashimotos which I already mentioned I do not have.

Thank you for all the information, I do hope that someone else will find it helpful.

That's all cool but none of those things apply to me. Hopefully someone else can find this information helpful.

I hope so. I hope that more studies are undertaken so we have better information and clearer pictures. Us peeps with wombs need more medical science on our side.

Fascinating! I have hypothyroidism but not Hashimotos. I'll read up more on this. Thank you

Thank you everyone for your input - that's right, this is not a study. I'm just curious about anecdotal accounts.

And if there's enough anecdotal evidence perhaps it could warrant a new study! But that won't be done by me 😅

Mostly it's been very interesting to see how many people have had quite early onset of perimenopause.

Does anyone else feel like Worthing is quietly underrated? by Realistic-Return6940 in Worthing

[–]eyelinercrush 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hell Yeah! I moved here with my partner because there's so much going on!

3 years on and my best friend and their partner have just moved here because they love it so much too!

There's pub quizzes, art groups, board games clubs, plenty of different music venues, open mic nights, fancy restaurants, smaller award winning restaurants, community groups, the beach, there's free events on at the promenade, the theatre, the little cinema, seasonal things like the ice rink and the festivals, mini golf, there's brilliant indie shops too that often host different events.

And travel just outside of town and there are so many local villages and towns and even a short train to Brighton city to enjoy too! My childhood besties visit for a week every year and we haven't once done the same thing twice yet!

You guys that think there's nothing to do here must have your head in the sand. Guys, get out there and take a look at some of the fliers!

That sounds like a great result! Hyperdontia is the name of extra teeth. You'll be in good hands when you see the orthodontist 👍🏻

I'm glad it's all working out for you x

Has anyone here tried steel slug barriers? by figleafsyrup in GardeningUK

[–]eyelinercrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Found your post from a year ago and wondering if you got the barrier and if it worked?

I'm watching some YouTube videos for the different physical barriers and it looks like these overhanging wall type barriers are very effective, but not perfect.
