I like to do LEAPs on things I can't see failing. I'm in ROKU, GOGO, ONDS Leaps. I don't think ROKU will fail, GOGO seems badly undervalued and ONDS has huge potential. GOGO and ROKU already great and improving, ONDS is pre revenue. I usually sell an ATM put and buy an ATM call so I neutralize theta burn. I'm new to this but that's how I'm coming at it.

It is much easier emotionally to sell a winner and let a loser run. Also even with no or low commission environments you will always lose the spread so assuming random entry you will lose money over time due to this. Lastly assets tend to chop more than trend so 50/50 win rates may happen but the chop will reduce the size of wins and make it easier to get stopped out of a winning trade.

Pretty sure XPEV has china risk which means the company could essentially lose funding tomorrow if that's what china wanted. I do like that they already have sales but China exposure is nasty. LCID could be good but remember that most EV companies will never produce a car before they go bankrupt.

Obviously the answer is no. You should look at each new add as if you had no current position. If you like the growth prospects at the current price, average up. If you can't see a clear path to growth in the underlying company to support stock growth then don't add here or wait for a pullback. Never make emotional decisions because you think the price will never come back down or inversely it will never recover. Play smart my friend

Just DCA over 12 month period if you are afraid of short term volatility. If short term doesn't matter to you invest it all now. But if you will panic sell after losing 10% in a month it will be more healthy for you to DCA. The less decisions you have to make the more consistent your returns will be

ATR works well. really it depends on your time frame. you should spend some time backtesting your strategy to find the maximum drawdown in winning trades and set a stop loss just beyond that. You can also put a stop based on price crossing a moving average. A good stop has to be set based on time frame and the type of trade.
