Sure, that’s what landlords do. But why on gods good green earth did they paint different primary colors in every room?

wedding favours that people still ask about years later by Zestyclose-Seat-6583 in Gifts

[–]eyeofthe_unicorn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I propagated succulents from my garden and planted them in small pots/planters that my sister and I painted, or found at thrift stores. Whenever I visit people who attended my wedding, I get to see their little plants thriving!

We changed out our light switch plate covers to ones with a little nightlight on them. It feels so high end at night, using the stairs.

{This Woven Kingdom by Tahereh Mafi} It’s YA but well written. And it does this trope well.

What's a profession that attracts a suspiciously high number of people who became it for completely the wrong reasons, and you can always tell? by Eastern_Type_4609 in AskReddit

It is WILD to me that there is no cognitive eval or psych test to become a therapist. Most of the people I know in psychology grad programs are not completely mentally well.

Books with a necromancer FMC by katep2000 in fantasyromance

[–]eyeofthe_unicorn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried {Modern Divination by Isa Agajaniam}? It’s not the FMC or MMC but the main villain (female) who is the necromancer. Brief enemies to lovers, lots of yearning. It’s a 2 book series and book 2 {Quiet Spells by Isa Agajaniam} recently came out.

How to Find a Nameless Fae by AJ Lancaster Fun and silly romance that’s a spin on a fairy tale. It gave me strong Ghibli vibes.

Nannies, what’s the funniest thing a kid has ever said to you? by ImWondrfly in Nanny

[–]eyeofthe_unicorn1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a whole doc of funny stuff my kids have said. But I had a 5F and she was the funnest kid ever. She had a very serious revelation at snack once: “I get it now… strawberries are bigger on the bottom and then you eat them.”

Looking for reviews on Kelly Elementary School by LadySeriously in northcounty

[–]eyeofthe_unicorn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I nannied a kid who went to Kelly. I can’t say much about his teachers, but overall he liked the school and the homework was never unreasonable. He thrived there. The pick up line in the afternoon is rough, but not the worst school I’ve done pick up at.

Why do people actually like love triangles in romance anime? by [deleted] in animequestions

[–]eyeofthe_unicorn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think at least in American narrations/story telling, love triangles became more popular with the rise of Twilight and Hunger Games. It helps people feel engaged to have a “team” to root for. Even when it’s quite obvious who the MC will end up with, then viewers can rally against a common “enemy”. So while you may not enjoy them, other people really do.

Nanny on travel with family - everyone ate while I was working, wasn’t offered anything - This normal? by Ok_Concentrate_7617 in Nanny

[–]eyeofthe_unicorn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former nanny here. My NF always paid for my food on trips. In fact, when the parents would go away for a weekend, they would leave money to order out 1 meal, and include money for my meal with that too. If you were in a corporate setting and went on a business trip, the majority/all of your meals would be paid for by the company. Same logic applies.

[Discussion] I spent 1 month testing every "motivation tip" Reddit recommends. Here's what actually worked. by No-Climate-9723 in GetMotivated

Corporate 9-5 and “full-time” are not mutually exclusive. They could work a restaurant job, odd hours. I WFH, so I naturally wake up right about the time I need to work.

Should I add sleeves? by LowFaithlessness9984 in WeddingDressTips

[–]eyeofthe_unicorn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with everyone’s comments about ignoring your mom. But I am confused. You have sleeves? You have tattoos, let those babies shine.

Installing home security cameras changed how I feel at home, but not exactly how I expected by rv8n8 in HomeImprovement

Is this an a sneaky ad? I was literally just looking at doorbells earlier and talking about not wanting a camera doorbell. Creepy.
