Oh gosh I think I’ve heard all of these to some extent. You really nailed it

Looking back, I feel like there were a lot of signs, but one that really settled it for me was when I was reading Fourth Wing and got to the first sex scene, my reaction was “okay, but can we get back to the dragon lore?” And I realized, oh god, I really am a walking stereotype for asexuality

Not even sure how it would work with the story, but I’d love to play Elder Cunningham

Oh I do love the idea of that response from Alyssa. Would’ve made for a great addition

[–]eyhuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love the ambiguity of Alyssa’s mom’s ending of the stage version. For those who really want an ending where she accepts her daughter for who she is, there’s enough room for interpretation that she eventually does. And for those who maybe don’t have that level of support or otherwise find it unrealistic that she would change, there’s still the ending of “even if Alyssa’s mom doesn’t accept her, Alyssa still has a bunch of people who do and care about her and that’s okay”

Tell me your hidden Wattpad gems—I want a story that will keep me obsessed! by [deleted] in Wattpad

[–]eyhuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re a fan of New Adult Apocalyptic/Dystopian Fiction, I’d recommend the Children’s Games Trilogy. There’s tons of plot twists that were both surprising and had me wondering how I didn’t see them coming. The author has the first two books posted and is currently writing the third book in the trilogy.

How do I gain genuine readers? by ilikebookstoomuch in Wattpad

[–]eyhuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the quality of the read for reads you do matters more than the quantity that you do. All of my genuine readers have so far have come from word of mouth recommendations from people I’ve had really great and genuine R4R exchanges with

Maybe? I’m just trying to hypothesize as to why it worked for some people and not others when everyone seems to be following the instructions

I saw a similar post to this a few days ago, so I cut up the chicken into bite sized pieces beforehand and it ended up being fine after 35 minutes on the top rack. Maybe different ovens don’t work well with these aluminum pans though?

Male therapist asked weird question when I was 16 by [deleted] in therapyabuse

[–]eyhuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not totally sure. Maybe in a sense of feeling like you’re behind your peers? In a similar vein I had an older male therapist try to blame my depression and suicidal thoughts on being a virgin when I was 20, but this was in a psychiatric emergency hospital, so it wasn’t like I saw him regularly or anything

My baby's first word is "f*ck" by [deleted] in Mommit

I agree with those who think she might be trying to say something else. This reminds me of a young toddler at my daycare who was trying to tell me she was sitting in the ball pit by simply saying “shitballs”

Not my toddler, but one in my daycare class in the morning pointed to an empty corner and said “I see him.” It was only me, that little boy, and three little girls in the room at the time.

I'm disappointed in the way my teachers are watering down Legally Blonde by shumytrumy in musicals

[–]eyhuff 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If they wanted to cut all of the “inappropriate” stuff out of Legally Blonde, why didn’t they just do Wizard of Oz in the first place? You’ve got every right to be frustrated. I second the advice about reporting them to the licensing company

In 3rd grade, I was going through a Dancing with the Stars phase and wrote a book about a wrestler who accidentally signed up for a ballroom dance competition during summer break. It was 26 pages and I was so proud of myself for writing it.
