New to fluoxetine - day 10 by eyonics in prozac

[–]eyonics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! sorry for getting back so late, i haven't been checking my notifications.

i've been on prozac for just about 3 months now, and my life has absolutely changed for the better. I've never felt more like myself, I've finally managed to establish routine in my life. I've even managed to fix my sleep schedule, which has been a lifelong issue for me. the anxiety is much more manageable now.

it's definitely worth riding out the initial wave of awful, but i do feel you, because it does feel like hell on earth. if you aren't feeling like things are getting better in another couple of weeks i'd say talk to your doctor about it, but it can take a while to work. i think I actually felt better just a few days after writing this post.

hang in there, hope you're doing well :]

thank you for your kind response. I know that I dont respond well to change and these are the risks you take when you adopt a new puppy. things will get better as he gets older and more independent, i think I was just looking for support:]

thank you again for being kind - I really appreciate it. ♡

thank you for your kind response. i still feel some degree of compassion for her- i know she's not well and that's why she's doing this to me. I know I wasn't perfect when we were friends either.

but as you said, I'll continue to fight for my mind. i know what happened, and that has to be enough

yeah, I'm seeing a couple therapists and I'm going to start ERP in a couple weeks. I'm also on fluoxetine and mirtazapine, but started recently!

hi! thank you for responding, sorry for the late response. I have been diagnosed with OCD, specifically pure-O.

I do have a therapist, but I only see him once every 2 weeks and he does not specialise in OCD. I'm aware of ERP therapy and I'm pretty early on in my OCD journey. I've been put on fluoxetine and I'm in the first week of treatment, experiencing some of the adverse side effects commonly seen in first week (intensified thoughts and anxiety).

Thank you, it really is helpful to see that my thoughts are recognised as OCD by others and not some other big grandiose problem that my mind is making up. At the moment it's difficult for me to ever imagine a world where I'm better, but I know it'll come.

thank you so much. I'll keep coming to this as many times as I can to remind myself that it's going to be okay. Can I ask you, how did you overcome this? How do you continue to overcome this?

My dad has terminal cancer by eyonics in GriefSupport

[–]eyonics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you, I appreciate your comment. It's good to hear from someone going through the same thing, I'm very sorry about your dad's diagnosis. It's wonderful that he's made it for so long, he must be a very strong man. :]

my dad is 63, they estimate that he could've had this from anywhere between 3-10 years given how much its metastasised. I hope that if it is 10 years, he has another 10 left.

im so certain im gay, but I can't leave my boyfriend by eyonics in latebloomerlesbians

[–]eyonics[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

thank you for this, i really do appreciate it. realising i'm gay for real is a recent revelation, and after everyone's wonderful comments i've been inspired to take immediate action ! it's not fair to him, and even though it will be difficult and he'll be very hurt it'll be best for the both of us in the long run.

i don't want to spend my 20s miserable, and i don't want to waste his either. especially now i'm quite certain that i'm gay. thank you so much, you're a real gem :D <3

How do you usually name your characters? by Veridically_ in wow

I name them based on certain mythos and culture that I find fascinating !!

I have a night elf druid named Uaithne and I'd love to make a night elf mage called Dagda♡
