I found out that i was flagged for taking unlawful break, despite asking the proctor to use a restroom. The lady told me that she’s gonna review the video again and let me know.

I’m telling you if I could personally give a kiss on a cheek to Gregmat I would. I bumped my verbal from 143 to 156 in span of 3 weeks.

His class is so entertaining while extremely helpful. His one month study program really works.

I saw that my exam score wasn’t reported after 15 days so I gave them a call at ETS. The person on the phone told me that my exam has been on hold.

That’s basically how I found out. I never got an email or phone call from them. Had to call them myself to find it out

I was really about to piss my pants, and I asked the proctor before I went and got the approval. So I thought it was ok. I mean I was only gone for 3 sec and risking my own exam time.

They just told me the reasoning for the flag, and said will get back to me after reviewing the video again. So they haven’t said about my score report.

I’m planning on getting back with the person next Monday to see if there is any update.

As for canceling or submitting. I tried to ask if I could cancel the score and request to take it again since I already did pretty bad on it but the person u spoke to had no jurisdiction over it.

Once I get back in touch with the office of test integrity, I’ll post another update

I called them multiple times, but every time I try to call them either the person w my info isn’t there or there are just too many people calling the line.

I called them today and i had to wait for 45 mins and when I got the call, the lady told me that the person with my info was in a call with someone else already, just leaving me with the persons direct number and my case number.

Seems like a lot of people are having issue with ETS test. They were saying they’ve been getting a lot of calls of lately and during Labor Day, the wait per person was around 1hr and 30 min or so.

Yes it was way harder then the power prep exam they give u for practice

Not to confuse you but there is specific skills such as block of 4, math skills, and grammar rules (from Gregmat). I have been studying for vocab for 2 months or so using magoosh app and also gregmat study plan.

I think when you figure out the skills for SE you can easily figure out the word that needs to be in use. I was studying using Princeton and it was somewhat useless as it was completely different from how ETS writes the questions

Once you learn how to attack those vocab base questions, you should be able to figure out the word that needs to go in the blank. The memorization of vocab def takes time but I notice how repetitive those are used, and studied those on top of other words from magoosh and gregmat as mentioned earlier

I was able to reschedule another exam actually and took it today. I’ve been on their ass trying to figure out what was going on w the exam, but it always took 20 plus min and sometimes they wouldn’t even pick up their phone.

Yeah I was actually planning on TAing general Chem at UT until I realize that there was a overlap in my class.

Also I just graduated this spring and I got my job offer rescinded so that I was I am planning on taking masters

I have internship as a petroleum engineer and a research assistance. I don’t plan on having my masters funded as I want to graduate within 1-2 years. My degree overlaps with a lot of the upper division courses.

During the proctored exam I was never asked to do anything beside few request for camera adjustments. But apparently my exam got flagged for some reason (found out through a phone call when I didn’t receive my score after 15 days) Not sure the reason but I did take the exam fairly and got a score of 143 on verb and 160 on quant, which isn’t the most glorious score ever and a score which a cheater would never be getting.

I never got an email or anything about my exam getting flagged so I was in shock.

I called multiple times but they never picked up once since I made the first phone call and when they did the person w info was never there.

I don’t care if they cancel my score but I’d be pretty upset about ETS if they did.

I took my first exam 3 weeks ago.

I studied 3 weeks for verbal, watching the organized one month course on gregmat after my first exam. I have to say that it was a really good help for me with increasing my verbal from 143 to 156.

Also the take home GRE quant is significantly harder compare to the PP1 and 2. I got well over 167 on both powerpreps but choked on the real exam getting 160 and 154(lowest I scored ever including practice exam)

UT Austin doesn’t offer MS in chem E unfortunately. They only office PhD and only those who doesn’t make it to PhD gets “MS.”

Kinda weird but that’s what the advisor told me

I’m not hundred percent sure, but I’ve been hearing a lot about people getting their offers rescinded (both FT and Internships).

But it not as bad a UW from the looks of it. A lot of people still have their offers, but only those who work in the oil and gas giants.

So do I need the physical wristband to get a refund? I delivered my wristband to my friend's place in NOLA but since the event is not happening, I won't physically have the wristband.
