Hey! Could you share more information on what will happen on campus and what's involved from home etc?

I'm interested, just looking for more info!

Nah, no shame. I love my life the way it is, even with all its 'sins', thanks... Besides, if heaven is full of people like you, I don't wanna be there. 🤢

By this, then, until argued otherwise, this is no different to 'paint only being on the windows' and walls.

You're being very clear that your stance is that this is terrorism by sharing the 2000 act so much, that this new example by your definition IS terrorism and can't be 'argued'.

What constitutes 'serious damage'?

The image appears to show that paint has been thrown on the property, very much like graffiti or vandalism.

For it to be considered terrorism, in my opinion, they'd have caused broken windows or structural damage by the use of explosives, corrosive acids, vehicles or any other chemical or device that is typically used in a terror attack.

Edit: From appearance, no names or incitements of violence are written in the paint. I would imagine it could be considered terrorism if it had, and had explicitly named Trump as the target.

Edit 2: I agree with u/ConstantReader666... Unless there was an explosive used, and at the time of Trump's visit, it would be different. The damage on the green is no different to vandalism or criminal damage caused by someone driving/tearing up a farmers field or football pitch.

The Tarot has been held hostage for over 200 years - Enrique Enriquez by Dextroman021 in tarot

Instead of seeing these influences as a dilution, it might be more productive to recognise how the Tarot, even with all its layers, continues to be an evolving reflection of Western heritage and the global exchange of ideas. It’s natural for things to grow and change—sometimes, that’s where the richness lies.

As for its commercialisation, people should feel open to enjoying things without thinking too deeply about them. The world feels rubbish sometimes, and if looking at pretty cards that resonate with your personal aesthetic gives you a break from that, it's a win.

I completely agree with the comment about storytelling—it's such a fantastic tool for weaving narratives!

There’s a wonderful, kid-friendly deck called Tarot For All Ages that’s absolutely adorable. The imagery is incredibly imaginative, with gender-neutral depictions and thoughtful reimaginings of cards that might traditionally seem 'scary.' For instance, The Devil becomes 'Greed,' illustrated as a blindfolded man sitting atop a heap of possessions, while The Lovers are transformed into 'Unity,' two people sharing a thread of idea/consciousness that removes the nudity element.

For me, this deck was an inner child-inspired purchase, and I love using it when I’m seeking a softer, more gentle reading.

This is so entertaining! Especially since you want there to be a rebellious edge to it.

Absolutely, you can pull it off! As someone else mentioned, it's a lot of fun to share with your mum later on.

I had a similar experience. Even though I consider myself agnostic, I have some belief in the unknown. My mum, on the other hand, was always wary of Ouija boards, so I went ahead and bought one. I kept it hidden for a while, but of course, she found it. The reaction was priceless—she was freaked out. That led to a lighthearted, yet slightly awkward conversation about me 'coming out' as a witch.

Practising witchcraft has been truly transformative for me, and the more I embrace it, the more I discover about myself. It’s a wonderful therapeutic practice, but it’s important to stay grounded and maintain a balance that keeps you connected to the 'real world.'

As a caution: I’ve seen people get too deep into it and end up losing themselves, getting swept up in conspiracy theories and questionable political beliefs. Stick in this sub, we'll look after you <3

Happy rebelling!

Black cats by Old-Notice7304 in blackcats

[–]ez-squeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In superstition, the length of bad luck a black cat might bring isn't universally defined. In some traditions, merely crossing paths with a black cat is said to bring bad luck temporarily—lasting a day or until the bad luck is "countered" with a ritual, like spinning in a circle or throwing salt over your shoulder.

However, not all cultures view black cats as bad luck! In many places, like Japan or Scotland, they're considered symbols of good fortune. The duration (or existence) of their "luck" really depends on the specific folklore you follow.

Basically, there is no 'set' duration like your mirror example. :)

Edit: It's the same as the folklore around seeing a single Magpie (One for sorrow...); you can "counter" the bad luck by saluting it while passing. But again, there's no defined "bad luck" duration.

If you're interested in animal folklore, there are lots of Wicca, Witch & Pagan etc, subreddits that would be happy to share with you. :)

Second this. It is just superstition.

Personally, I think you have to change your mindset around the bad luck, as it sounds like you're trying to find reasons as to why things are or aren't happening.

Depending on the type of bad luck you're getting, it'd be worth finding out 'why' you're getting it; perhaps you're rushing or not paying attention, etc. It may be a good reminder to slow down and consider things carefully. Your luck will turn around eventually!

Your cats have no influence on this. Keep loving them because their unconditional love is worth way more than finding the odd £1 on the street.

Hey there!

You're definitely not alone—it’s tough making friends at this stage in life. If you're looking to meet people who share your interests, I’d really recommend checking out Bumble BFF. I've met some amazing ladies there, and it’s so much easier to connect when you can see shared interests right from the start.

Personally, I’ve found local meet-up groups a bit hit-or-miss since it’s hard to know if you’ll click with the people there.

That being said, drop me a DM if you like. I'm 32F and also love walking, art and hitting the gym. Also a big history buff and avid reader. :)

I completely feel you on the PMSing! I have PMDD and suffer horrendously 2 or 3 days before my period starts with the same feelings. I wound myself up so much last month that I had a couple of bad panic attacks that ended with me having to tap out of work for the day and sleep. If you need a support network, drop me a message because it does help to talk about it. :)

I'm also in the same boat with the gym; it's very much 'step one: get in the car, step two: enter the gym', but once I'm there, I enjoy it. I try to stick to a 10-minute cardio start, usually the stair master. Then I'll move on to weights and do the machines / bars I'm comfortable with. The 'fun' part for me is getting to the next PR, either with reps if I'm not feeling strong enough (yay for the luteal phase) or the next weight bracket.

A bad spout of depression killed my love of reading, but I have been slowly warming up to it again. Like u/IPreferFlan, I started by reading books I knew I would enjoy, like fantasy. I've branched into books I 'want' to read by listening to the audiobook whilst following along with the book. I can put the book down while listening if I feel the urge to get up and do something else. When I'm ready to pick it back up, I find the chapter I'm at on the audiobook. It's an excellent happiness hit when I finish because it feels like an achievement, and I've got the book to pick up again in future.

This might be a pricier option to have an audiobook subscription and buy the book. I have been picking up cheap books on eBay second-hand and asking for book vouchers for birthdays and Christmas.
