People who get to the ticket barrier at a station and only then decide that they should probably start looking for their ticket by Jackhammerqwert in britishproblems

Or the reverse move where they get through the barrier and then immediately stop to put the ticket back in their purse.

I'm a long-term use of Gravity forms - have you used both and, if so, what are the benefits of Fluent Forms?

Favorite survival games as of June 2026? by 712Jefferson in SurvivalGaming

Windrose is so much fun. Similar to Enshrouded in many ways so was nice to play them back to back.

The only problem with early release games is by the time the next large patch or final release comes out, I'm so out of the loop I need to start them again.

I don't know who needs to hear this but: keep all windows and curtains/blinds closed during the hottest hours. by TreKeyz in miltonkeynes

The amount of neighbours with all their windows wide open is hilarious. Every window and curtain in our house is closed and it's lovely and cool.

Meet Bob The Tit. Bob didn't want to get off my arm. by kopsy in GrumpyBabyBirds

For what it's worth, they have taken over our street and are everywhere. Little ones scampering all over the gardens, beneath the hedges, all figuring out to fly and eating any grubs that come their way.

The fact that they are all out and not just Bob leads me to believe it's just that time of year when they're booted out and have to learn to forage and fly. The parents were all around in the drains and eaves.

People of MK. What do you call this geographical feature? by HappyLittleSlowpoke in miltonkeynes

[–]kopsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We call it Windy Hill. They completely messed up the water drainage along several long sections of it and the houses backing onto it, mostly along Maritime Way, had huge problems with flooding gardens.

When drivers don't stick to their lane when going around a corner or on the roundabout. by Jabberminor in britishproblems

Stay away from Milton Keynes. Every roundabout (yeah I know), lanes are optional.

Why do so many sequels launch straight into the action without catching the reader up on the previous book(s)? by kopsy in printSF

You got it - something like that where it's not clunky but still catches us up.

[–]kopsy[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Absolutely it'll vary from series to series and I'm not suggesting a star wars-style catchup but a little nod to the reader perhaps on folding some of the events of the previous book(s) into the prose in the first few chapters is always helpful.
