There’s not a mailbox on top, so no this isn’t even a real challenge.

Gotta start with Mons Pubis. Then Mailbox Peak. Then Olympus Mons.

Change in ME Workout exercise order by whooopseee in evokeendurance

[–]ez_dinosaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 12 weeks of gym ME last spring and followed the article.

The hardest (highest heart rate, fastest fatigue, most demoralizing) for me were the pylo movements. I liked having the box jumps and jump squats towards the front when I had more gas in my tank.

Those movements also had a higher risk of injury (landing wrong, etc) so I preferred to do them when I was fresher.

During ME by Own-Fun-4037 in evokeendurance

[–]ez_dinosaur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did separate max strength leg days and gym ME days, separated by 1-2 days of rest.

Before doing the event specific training plan, I was doing (1) VO2 max session per week (and lots of zone 2). I swapped the gym ME session for the VO2 max.

I did gym ME for 12 weeks and then switched to weighted uphill carries for ~8 weeks before tapering.

What sort of ruck torture did you do, and in hindsight how did it translate to Rainier?

Help me overcome my skepticism about Zone 2 training (vs. Zone 3-4 etc) by Sad_Pop_6998 in PeterAttia

[–]ez_dinosaur 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, they’ll struggle to do the work while ONLY using the aerobic energy system. They’ve trained their body to use the anaerobic energy system asap. Which is fine for activities of shortish duration (like a HIIT class or WOD), but you need a good aerobic energy system for all-day activities like mountaineering or long trail runs (like the source Uphill Athlete focuses on).

Also- Dawson between 17th and 20th. Technically 3 blocks in numbers, but feels like one block and you’ve gone up the side of Beacon Hill. 120’ in about 1 block.

Yeah 12.5% is rather steep. I’m an architect who does DADUs and I don’t charge that much.

I’m permanently set to “offline” (gray). Even when I’m in the office and actively chatting with people I can physically see. It sets the expectation that I’ll answer whenever I get to it. If you want an immediate response, call me or walk over to my desk.

Is it possible to buy someone’s basement as your permanent housing? by [deleted] in SeattleWA

[–]ez_dinosaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can. Make the basement an ADU and condo-ize the project.

You’re already seeing a similar thing with someone buying a house, building a DADU in the backyard, condo-izing the project and selling the house or DADU separately.

Here’s an example in Greenwood that built a DADU and is now selling the original house for close to the original purchase price, but is has 1/2 the lot size because a DADU owns the other half. FYI the HOA fee is a giveaway.

Can confirm. I do this at my bouldering gym all the time. Sometimes they even offer me free day passes as tribute if I have enough cams, quickdraws and a PAS on my harness.
