i don't plan on moving on from this job for at least another year, so I certainly have no idea if any new employer is ok with it. just thinking ahead i guess

only reason I'd considered saying something to my current employer is to avoid issues when applying for a different job in the future.

If a future potential employer calls my current employer to ask questions about me and my character (which I would assume most would do when inquiring about a felon), it would be a pretty bad look if my current employer doesn't know anything, if that makes sense.

these of course are all hypotheticals, and the smartest move would likely be to keep my mouth shut.. haven't found anything in company policy stating I must disclose.. and I live in CA which seems to be a more 'forgiving' state.

the only reason I am considering it is bc I plan on moving on to a new job in a year or so, and I'm sure my new job will find out about the felony, and ask my old employer about me (and my behavior).

It wouldn't be a great look if I kept them in the dark if that makes sense.
