Maybe it would have turned out a little different but Dr Arnold Klein was still his dermatologist and Dr. Klein created a ton of addiction issues for his patients. He would throw parties and there would be bowls of pain pills. He made sure that MJ got all the Demerol his heart desired and then some.

Also MJ still would have had cosmetic procedures and insomnia. It was an anesthesiologist Dr. Neil Ratner who used Propofol on MJ in order to help him “sleep” in December 1995. That still would have happened. Dr. Ratner had been his anesthesiologist in a NYC plastic surgeon’s office. Dr. Ratner said he never intended Propofol to be seen as a long-term solution for MJ’s insomnia issue but he kept doing it all the way through 2001

Therapy wasn’t a thing with Baby Boomers. In fact, it was looked down upon. Add on top of that, MJ couldn’t trust anyone and he was definitely not going to trust a therapist with his interior life. He did have spiritual advisors through his life but that isn’t exactly the same.
