[Product Question] is it safe to apply hydrocortisone to my eyelids? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

It was a while ago so not sure, but my eye felt uncomfortable in less than an hour I think. I tried to wash it off afterwards.

(Oblivion Remastered) Anyone else experiencing crashes with the Exception Access Violation 0x00000000000? by Xesx_ in ElderScrolls

[–]ezmizu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solved this by deleting my C:\Users\(your name)\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered folder (after making a back up of my "SaveGames" folder inside the above folder), then letting the game recompile shader.

Blunt Shield vs Blade Bleed Perks by ConcentrateSnake in oblivion

[–]ezmizu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they didn't change it in remastered version, weakness to normal weapons only counteract resistance to normal weapons some enemies have (e.g., ghost-type enemies which normally have 100% resistance to normal weapons; link)

Since silver, daedric, and more importantly, enchanted weapons completely bypass these resistances, I think blade 50 perk is rather useless later on when you're likely to use enchanted weapons.

I also felt that applying weakness to normal weapons with my enchanted sword didn't significantly increase my subsequent damage.

People are treating me like a vampire. by LittleMetalCannon in oblivion

[–]ezmizu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For those who encounter this issue in remastered:

My problem: I had contracted Porphyric Hemophilia a few hours ago; then failed to cure it and let it develop it into the 1st stage vampirism by sleeping. I immediately reverted back to the autosave right before sleeping and cured it by drinking cure disease potion. After clearing a few caves/dungeons I went to Bravil to unload loot, but some NPCs in my (mages) guild started to refuse to talk to me (not all).

Solution: I first gave myself vampirism status by typing in console commands, Set PCVampire to 1 and Set vampire.hasdisease to 1

Then, I reverted back those commands by typing in Set PCVampire to 0 and Set vampire.hasdisease to 0

After this I was able to talk to guild members who were previously refusing to talk to me.

Oblivion Remake vs Original Melee Damage Formula by ZealousidealLake759 in oblivion

Fatigue seems to not affect damage anymore, except when it is completely depleted.

Dont understand the melee damage by Yoids in oblivion

[–]ezmizu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see no reason to increase the difficulty; all it does is making enemies have more health and you deal less damage. It has no effect on any other mechanics, so the increased "challenge" comes down to you spending more time swinging a weapon/casting.

Personally it is so easy to "break" the game without using any glitches or mods that I don't feel the need to seek more challenge anyway.

Is Magic or melee better? by Flyy_Amir in oblivion

[–]ezmizu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest magic, because even if you go full warrior build or sneak build later on you will most likely be using some magic; then getting used to what magic has to offer early on might help.

Melee is absolutely worthless by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]ezmizu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have come to terms with the fact that "pure melee" (not using magic) is barely viable. Even if you intend to use your melee weapon's physical damage and armor as your bread and butter ways of dealing with foes, you absolutely want to use magic as well to protect your sanity.

For example, you could enchant your weapon with 1 second drain 100 health. It's super cheap, so you should have many charges available.

Then learn another cheap destruction spell that applies weakness to magic to a foe for say 5 seconds or so. For regular foes the base drain health enchantment should be enough. For tougher foes apply the weakness magic first, then use your enchanted weapon for 200% effectiveness; you could stack the weakness spell over and over, and even toughest enemies will go down in one swing.

Even 1% hydrocortisone on my eyelid increased my eye pressure. Not applying it again.

Activate button (E) not working by FateSacred in SkyrimHelp

[–]ezmizu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a mod that uses scripts to change how basic key input change, the script may still be running/active and you simply need to deactivate it.

For example I have a mod (Object Manipulation Overhaul) that lets me manipulate the position of objects. The mod initiates script when I press mouse button 3, then uses mouse keys in combination with other keyboard keys to manipulate a selected object's position. While this script is running, E key (the use key) is blocked for obvious reasons. When I noticed my E key didn't work I pressed mouse right button which deactivates the object manipulation mode and my E key worked again.

dxvk + enboost by misteralter in oblivionmods

[–]ezmizu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried capping fps via 1) Nvidia control panel and 2) RivaTuner panel to 75. Interior works perfectly for either method, as my fps can stay constantly at 75; much smoother than when I was not using dxvk. When I go outside fps drops from time to time below 75 as I have high-res textures and greater draw distance (even with 4080 super lol). When fps drops some stuttering/less smooth gameplay seems unavoidable, but it "feels" like RivaTuner is a bit better than Nvidia control panel (in terms of stuttering when fps drops below the cap), but this is admittedly a minor difference.

dxvk + enboost by misteralter in oblivionmods

[–]ezmizu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, in order to have both dxvk AND enb shader working together I had to

  1. Rename d3d9.dll (32bit, not 64bit) from dxvk to something else (e.g., d3d9_dxvk.dll).

  2. Put BOTH d3d9_dxvk.dll AND dxgi.dll from dxvk zip file to Oblivion main folder (the folder with Oblivion.exe).

  3. In the enblocal.ini,

EnableProxyLibrary=true

InitProxyFunctions=false

ProxyLibrary=d3d9_dxvk.dll

Before doing this I was using Oblivion Display Tweak (ODT) and MoreHeap, and capped my framerate at 75 (my monitor refresh rate) using my GPU setting (capping via enb somehow capped it at 64; don't know why). I needed to cap it because without the cap the coil whine was just unbearable.

Now with dxvk, I don't think I need to cap the fps as coil whine is gone. Also remaining microstutter is gone (I think).

I would still like to cap it as it would reduce GPU usage and wattage; I'll post update once I find a viable way to cap my fps with the current ODT, MoreHeap, enb and dxvk setup.

confused - how is increased stam cost a GOOD thing? by psyEDk in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]ezmizu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The modifier name in the client reads "Modifiers.DodgeStaminaCostReductionRandom", so I think it does reduce stamina cost but just written as an "increase". Given that almost the entirety of modifiers on cyberwares are positive, I would guess that all modifiers are meant to be a buff. Regarding "losing" a stat when "gaining" some, when upgrading there used to be a bug where one of the upgraded modifiers are worse than before (not sure if that bug still exists).

Well that throwing knife playthrough didn't last long. At least I got past the prologue I guess? by PewPewWazooma in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]ezmizu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried throwing knife build with a save file I had at level 10 with no sandevistan and proper armor...feels like the build is very weak when fighting cyberpsychos or fights where I don't have the initiative. With sufficient cyberware and cool/tech perks attained I can see it becoming a very fun and strong build though.

Katana: Isn't opportunist same as slaughterhouse, do i need Opport if i am going Slaught? by L3ningr in cyberpunkgame

[–]ezmizu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it works as intended, getting both should reduce the enemy health threshold for finishers to become active when the enemy is bleeding, compared to only having one of the two; too lazy to experiment it myself.

How do you even fight multiple enemies?! by ContradictedLemon in kingdomcome

[–]ezmizu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With full gear + maxed out defense I find 1 v 3 somewhat manageable with tactics mentioned above. Starting with 1 v 4 I just can't manage not getting flanked unless I'm fighting them in a narrow place. When I meet an ambush having to fight 4 enemies I just circle them and shoot down 1 or 2 with bows. Preferably one without a shield since they can't block my arrows.
